Well, it's hard to get pics of guys in new elbow pads. Anyway I didn't know the specifics considering it is not a leak. Thought people might be interested in information about gear being released in 2019 by an official retailer. Oh well.

New gear? Or holes in palms?

How to know if your helmet needs to be replaced? I landed on it.
nutters replied to Oilers97's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Should still be fine. A helmet's primary function is to prevent skull fractures, as they do not guarantee anything in regards to concussions. So if the structure is fine, the helmet is probably still protective, but if you're worried enough change it. I'm not an expert on helmets post collision, or a Reddit doctor either. I'd just recommend hearing the best advice on here before r/dr.internet says buy a new dome. -
You can always get great midrange stuff on sale for under $100 which will offer more than enough protection. They start adding plastics, etc at that point and that little extra bit of protection can make a big difference. X800, Supreme 170, QLT270, etc... If you live in Canada you can still find QR Pros on sale for $60. I always felt that the gloves with screen printed cuffs were just winter mitts with more insulation.

Sounds good👍 I guess it will be greater than Phantom feel😂

Warrior on their IG page showed Dumoulin of the Pens playing with a yet to be released Phantom QRE stick. Their ADV?

IIrc they have some in the tongues of their goalie skates. On the original tacks at least.

When Did You Get Bored With Acquiring New Hockey Gear?
nutters replied to beerleaguecaptain's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Probably this past Summer. Lost a lot of weight a few years ago, so I had to get gear quick that could actually stay on me. Since then I have bought gear that fits and I actually like, so I haven't really cared to buy new stuff. A few weeks ago I needed to pick up new elbow pads (problem with have a size medium forearm and small sized biceps) and I didn't even stay long to browse. Now I only getting excited to look at things I need the least which are sticks and gloves haha. -
And wearing Vapor skates. IIRC at one point a couple of seasons ago he was using a 1N stick and Covert gloves
-
I liked that Crosby kept his regular gloves. They went better with the jerseys than the gloves they were supposed to wear.
-
McDavid with the FT1 gloves, but using the Super Tacks stick again ❤️
-
McDavid betraying the CLs and SuperTacks... But lol at CCM promoting him with the ft2 skates on IG
-
Sidelineswap and prostockhockey.com come to mind. Pro hockey life and monkeysports.ca sell to canada
-
Agreed, it is what makes this place a lot better than the other forums of this type. What JR has built is great and we do not need another /r/hockeyplayers

I would guess that they are going to kill some curves at retail that will only be available for customs and special bookings. CCM added the P30 and P88, but put the 14, 19, 38, 45 and 46 on the chopping block. 15 and 40 are probably next.

I hope not

Russia, Czech Republic, Sweden in AS1s. Slovakia in 4Rolls and Denmark with Super Tacks
-
Ben Lovejoy has been wearing a Supreme skate on one foot and a Vapor on the other. McDonaugh iirc with the rangers was wearing an apx and apx2 glove at the same time.

😆that was my comment on the warrior IG pic!

Jetspeed FT2 Some odd stick finds at the WJC Jetspeed Pros EQ50 Rekker 60 Calvin de Haan custom True Whalers colorway stick
-
Ft1 was a constant kick high, mid, low. That was replaced by the hybrid Jetspeed where the kick point is above and below the CCM branding at the bottom of the shaft. The AS1 like the ST2.0 is a mid kick. While they may have expanded the range in the AS1 (not 100% sure) it is the true successor to the ST2.0.
