It's quite horrendous looking, I'd try it, but not at that price.

If I was skating 10 hours a day, I would get 2~3 pairs at a time, and rotate them every 5 hours. Regular shoes work the same way, two shoes bought one after another wear out much faster than two shoes bought at the same time and swapped every day.

What are your measurements?

Did you have to use any spray? or just wiping it down with a cloth?

Some leagues have exclusive suppliers. As far as I know CCM/Reebok are the Exclusive Supplier of most protective gear/jersey for the OHL, and I think partially for the sticks (I do believe you need to get an exemption to use Bauer sticks I'm not 100% on that).

What about maybe before you start anything, putting a flat rod through the channel and gently seeing if you can bring it down or not? It probably won't work, but if it does, it'll save you from taking anything off.

Ah sorry, I saw your post on Reddit, and quickly skimmed through this one. I don't think there ever was a 300. You could always ask CCM directly.

The stick looks like a CCM RBZ 290 if you zoom in. https://imgur.com/a/eGs8tP1

Ribcor Trigger 4 Pro seems to be more and more available to the general public, so probably the older Ribcors will be on sale now. I know that they've been marked down a bit for the CCM internal sales.

The pictures don't seem to work

1 - You can experiment with this, as it's the least permanent solution 2 - The most permanent solution, will not change over time, but also requires the most effort, possibly weakening the footbed of your skate 3 - Somewhere in the middle, but as you sharpen, it may change things slightly over time.

I think Hybrids are nice, but the common problem I've heard from people that use them is that there's a big blind spot where the cage meets the visor part. I'm probably going to try the FV1 as well once my Bauer goes.

Here's the finished product. https://imgur.com/a/uztuXtk

I put some Liquid Electrical Tape on my insoles, and it's worked well. I think Nicolas G was the one who told me about it in the TRUE skates thread.

Interesting story about profiling/sharpening

I'm tempted to go to this place which uses it https://www.performaxx.ca/ next time I'm in Montreal and try it out. If I do, I'll report back. -
I'm trying this tonight, https://imgur.com/a/uztuXtk 2 questions, 1 - did I put on enough? 2 - did you also apply it on the bottom of the soles?

Normal Rain-X is formulated for Glass surfaces I believe, I would try their one for plastic surfaces. https://www.rainx.com/product/plastic-water-repellent/rain-x-plastic-water-repellent/#.XXfryJNKh24

I'm debating between these or Hybrids for my next one.

Wow I don't usually follow equipment changes, but I guess he made a switch to everything CCM (sorry if it's off topic)?
-
I did the same switch from the old style stock holders to the SB4.0, and it feels great. Nothing I didn't get used to after a couple of times out. Switching to SB4.0 feels better on hard starts and stops, but on the other hand feels a bit like I'm catching my toes a little during long strides. I was measured to be a bit faster, but there are so many factors a play that I don't think I can say that really.

This is anecdotal, but you may find that if you do go the Girdle route, it will feel a little restrictive at least in the beginning. But in about a month's worth of playing time, everything seems to settle, and it will fit you like a glove. That being said, don't be afraid to try to adjust the straps in various places to be more comfortable. I have the 7092 Tacks and it's been incredible, however the Warrior and True comes with a pocket for jock/jill, and I might try that setup in the future.
-
I'm happy with my 7092 Girdle, but this would have been a good choice too it seems.
-
Does this one have an integrated cup? I think I heard the Warrior one does.
