  1. During warm up...kinda weird shooting position (kinda looks like Tomas Plekanec style): And...before anyone says anything...I know...HEAD UP!!!!!!
  2. I hate that the only French players that can come to Montreal are the "role players" Begin Lapierre Dandenault Brisebois Any big "skill" players that have ever been rumored.... Lecavelier Briere Gagne ...Perron (?) Are scared away by the potential pressure. Maybe, scared is the wrong world...but you know what I mean. /rant Back to David's play of late...his goal of the board the other night...between TSN (Sportscentre/That's Hockey) and NHLN...I must've seen it a dozen times. Great hands....strong legs to keep moving. Excellent goal.
  3. I don't know that I'd call it 'hilarious'...but, it is a nice job by the photographer of catching an very unlikely piece of in game action.
  4. What? Couldn't find anything but saw a pic on the Post-Dispatch of him taking a blocker shot to the face from Budaj - that broke his visor in half? http://stltoday.mycapture.com/PHOTOS/STLT/...0/22187423E.jpg Looks like his nose is still taking quite a mashing. Matt D'Agostini caught a PUCK squared between the eyes on Friday night in Buffalo...didn't crack the visor...but obviously pushed it back on his face enough that it bloddied his nose....if that punch cracked David's visors...that one hell of a punch.
  5. Finally saw it. TSN That's Hockey was doing their "Plus/Minus" feature for last night's games....You can guess what that shot got.
  6. Yeah, If I was from the Central Prairies, I might be able to mark my hometown, but Port Colborne is kinda hard to find a a regular play...let alone one on my arm. *ha!* Here's the design as it sits now (actual size):
  7. For those of us North of the 49th who haven't been able to see the Blues much...they are on TSN against the Wings Monday night
  8. I thought of that...the background Maple Leaf. My fear is that because I want this one in color, the 'faint' red might look too pink...I still haven't taken the design to an artist yet...so I have to get an opinion. How soon I get it will depend on how much I spend in Montreal next week too *L* Your new one sounds cool though.
  9. I light of eric42434224's injury post...I think this is worth noting, and should become a 'written rule' IF YOU GET HURT...GO TO A DOCTOR....NOT MODSQUAD! Sorry eric...I couldn't resist - glad you are okay.
  10. Did you foget tape...? Or do you always use a lace on your shins...not sure I've ever seen that.
  11. I do like having a maple leaf in there somewhere...but not the Hockey Canada Logo... But, the way the body of water cuts into where center ice is, there isn't much room to do anything there...and besides that...a Maple Leaf at center ice is too much like a team I've heard of somewhere ;)
  12. I saw this on the Habs board...and thought I'd share.... I did ask for his permission to post it here...just thought some hockey/tattoo fans might appreciate it.
  13. I know I don't want it to be team specific. I LOVE the Habs...but not sure that Sports team ink is a good idea...unless you are directly attached somehow. My buddy got the Italian National Soccer Team crest with the stars for all their World Cups...mind you he's Italian...so that makes sense. I've got a window between now and Feb 18 where I only play once a week...so if I can finalize the design...I may go for it.
  14. I think Keith has a "Get off my Lawn!" moment coming any day now *L*
  15. Ha, how could I forget the trapezoids...?
  16. What would you improve/add to it?
  17. My complexion is what some would call fair...and others would call pasty...so 'white' won't work well...but I'm thinking white with a touch of blue might look decent. Like I said, I need to talk to the artist...but I'm waiting on it for now...got a week without hockey in mid Feb...maybe then.
  18. Nice silouette...artsy. Seriously...I suspected something a little more radical than that.
  19. caldakid...you should know better than to post Pro Stock stick pics without a good shot of the curve... <_<
  20. I want something with a Canadian/Hockey theme. I'm leaning toward this: for #3. I'm thinking left shoulder....same placement/relative size as the dragon on the right. I haven't gone to an artist yet, but I want the 'rink' to look like ice, and I'm not sure that ice look will be easy to do in ink. Obviously, I did this mock up in PS...and I wouldn't want the edges/outline to be that sharp/harsh....
  21. I agree 100%. Seeing as how most youth leagues around here call you if the end of your stick isn't capped/taped...those hooks would never pass.
  22. For the most part we go between 2-3 min per shift. There are a few who do 4-5+ and they get chirped for it. I HATE when there is only 1 sub on the bench....you end up getting stuck out for like 7 minutes because every time you turn to go off someone else is just going off.
  23. I'm pretty sure Pascal is there for all of this. It will be interesting to hear his thought as a 'fan' who also has some special insight/access to things.
  24. While extra long shifts are never a good thing...the OP is asking about Shinny/Pickup/Drop-in/Stick time...not a League. I think being a shift Nazi and going nuts on guys to get off the ice after :90 is a bit much in those situations. Depending on the number of extras...it's hard to stick to really short shifts. In a League with a full team is another thing altogether
