    I wouldn't doubt it... it's the store of choice amongst a lot of the youth parents my brother works with... better prices, more selection/availability. Just don't put 100% deposit on a special order, or wait for something out of Bauer fit stock with them.

    Don't get me wrong, I dig the white skates they've been putting out nowadays... I just feel like the white + so much silver is way overboard. But then again, I wouldn't be able to see 'em if I was wearing them, so it doesn't really matter.

    I don't doubt it in the least bit... maybe for industry reasons unknown, but like I said... their customer service has gone down the shitter. I think there's 1 familiar face I can rely on in one location.

    Malborough is their warehouse store.. they get dibs on all new product, and the other locations like Braintree, Danvers suffer. 90% of all the new Easton product won't make it's way to the other stores for months on end. I've also heard that some of their experienced management all moved on to work as reps for some of the manufacturers, not sure if that contributes to the stores closing. I will be the first to admit their customer service as of late has gotten significantly worse. My brother sat around the skate section for a good 15 minutes the other day looking to try on a few pairs of skates. The store was dead, and all the employees were playing around in the front office... they even went as far as closing the blinds of the office window after 10 minutes.....so off to Breakaway Hockey we went. I also know that their attempt to branch out into general sporting goods failed miserably after only a few months.

    Hey, I have my vices... Granted I do not need 3 and 4 sticks, but she admitted she didn't need 17 pocketbooks. I'll have you know that weekend, there were a few new purses on ebay.

    Yeah, my fiancee is the same. It's shoes, and pocketbooks... The last time we poo-poo'ed over it, I took the Mission V-Hex I just bought at my local shop, and threw it on the floor. I then put her newest Coach bag on the floor with it, and said "Yours costs more. I win."

    If my memory serves me, it's just a XXX Lite with a wood print bottom coat instead of the white.

    Did you just pull the Pulse apart? I have 2 V-Hex, and a Fuel and they all have a pretty noticeable line at the bottom. I'm waiting for a blade to go soft (which if what I've read is correct, it will be soon enough) so I can play Dr.

    I saw those. I'd rather buy them at my local Pure Hockey... Aside from the occasional "pro stock" item, or buying stuff from other MSH members, I like to buy from local shops. I'm trying to get a shop to order me a V-Hex shaft, but I can't swing more than 2. The guy who does my skates is a Mission dealer, but since he's taken a full time gig at Harvard University, the last 2 times I went he hasn't been open.

    I'm borderline obsessed with Mission sticks now.... I love them. I'll pick one up once I'm done buying up all the previous model Fuels in 85 flex Rafalski pattern on clearance at Pure Hockey. Now only if the V-Hex would come down from $179.99!!

    Tax return = new toys.... I've had the Flexlites for a few months, just haven't taken pics of stuff in a while. The Mission skates were pure impulse buy. The V-Hex is from Mr. Drewhunz... I have a brand new one on the way though.

    no idea what the SDP stands for, but IIRC- the SDP Pro was just an older model of the "4 Roll" glove.

    Judging from the color its that first aid "gentle tape" type stuff. It's pretty much the same thing as Powerflex, minus the width of the roll, etc. You can get it at any CVS or drug store. I use it to wrap up my toe from time to time (ingrowns)

    I have my lighter days where I'll prefer some Red Sparrowes, Bright Eyes, Tegan & Sara, Sigur Ros, Battles, Pelican, Isis to hip hop and rap, to oldies like Orbison, and Presley. I do it all. ... I was just playing opening the riff from "Bloodwork" on the guitar last night while I was watching the Bruins game... it's one of my favorites to limber up to when I first start fiddling around. 36 Crazyfists are great.

The Red Chord... their new joint "Prey For Eyes" kicks my ass. They've certainly outdone themselves with this record. Kingdom Of Sorrow...holy crap does this record shred. It's even cooler when your bud is playing in the band. Anyone in MA should make it out to the Palladium on 2/27.. it's going to be insane. The Acacia Strain... another killer metal band out of Massachusetts (Damn I love our metal scene!)

    None of those pics are the Braintree location (closest to me)...I got my blackout Warriors there. I plan on popping in there this weekend, I'll peep some stuff out for you and go 007 with my iPhone..... white/blue, right? Any brand preference? They have the nylon Eastons in off and on... last ones I saw where white/red trim. And for any of you out-of-towners..... there's a hotel RIGHT next to the Braintree location. hahaha..
