  1. Yes. Allows them to get caught up with the stick.
  2. 9/16?!? That has to be a mistake. You don't jump from 1/8" to 4.5/8". The common sizes as stated are 1/16" (approx 1.5mm) and 1/8" (approx 3mm).
  3. Not really. Actually, I don't think they're as bad as that picture - I think the screen print is falling off. I do. They're in MI, with the rest of my equipment. Won't have access to it until the end of the year.
  4. If just that, sure. Especially dealing with a youth org chances are you want to cover all of your bases.
  5. The X-02 will definitely be able to handle your volume on a hardware standpoint - it's a strong machine.
  6. Jason - Hope all's well! Have you been wearing sandals/slides in the summer? It sounds like your feet have flattened out due to lack of support, especially if it's a recent thing. It's not the skates, if you didn't have any problems beforehand.
  7. The common offerings are: 90/50, 90/75, 100/50, 100/75. Get the 95 variants to bridge the gap (95/50. 95/75) I use Ruby myself. Eh, it all depends if you're sharpening kid's skates. For now, the U-12 is fine. Not really. I've had that machine for what, 10 years, without any problems to speak of. I'm going to most likely upgrade at some point to a full portable or a single head.
  8. Yeah, you know that's not directed at you. I'm just getting frustrated seeing people complain about services elsewhere, or buy steel elsewhere, when 100% of the profits of those services and steel sales support the site they're complaining on.
  9. Contact @customskateworks. It's difficult because it's not really a product you just slap onto your skates. You have to shape and heat and bevel edges and all that; I know Joe was working on having pre-cut pieces making it easier for retailers to work it (mind you the installers were always EQMs who have more tools/skillsets than your standard retail employee.) I was considering carrying it and offering it in the Pro Shop but I've come to the realization that people on here don't care about what I offer in there; they'd rather get a subpar job locally or elsewhere. Just being honest.
  10. That was Total Hockey; they acquired the Titan name and intended to come out with a full line of equipment. The sticks, however, were made under license by CCM. TH also had Christian as well.
  11. I have to assume they'll run them through Heritage, which Graeme also purchased. He also purchased Torspo alongside Christian.
  12. Some of you know, most of you don't, but we've moved back to Florida. We got here on Friday. The Friday after SummerJam, we found out that my mom had tumors on her spine and lungs. It turns out she has Stage 4 small cell lung cancer. She started chemo a couple of weeks ago, so they're hoping she responds well to it. We were very fortunate to be able to get everything to line up well; we have friends who are going to be renting our house. Kinda weird going from a house to my old bedroom, but I need to get whatever time I can with my mom while I still can. I was able to bring up all of the machinery for the Pro Shop (but wasn't able to bring any of my hockey equipment) as we loaded up both cars. We'll come back for the rest of the other stuff at some point. I have to clean up the garage to set it up for the Prosharp, so the Project will be on hold for a little bit. I can probably start sharpening skates in a couple of days.
  13. No, it wasn't. The PM got fired over that skate. The RBZ was a very well-made skate, but the fit wasn't there yet. Once they made the Jetspeed they nailed the traditional process, and then with the Super Tacks, with the composite process.
  14. ONE95 was the first, when it was called ALIVE. It was the only Bauer skate line designed to enhance range of motion until this year. Yes, but that was something they were going to do to all of their skates anyway - Vapor's cycle just turned out to be first.
  15. Maybe back in 1998... Ever since the ONE90 15 years ago, Supreme has been Bauer’s technologically advanced skate, cycle after cycle. Vapor didn’t have to change much as it was always popular in terms of fit.
  16. Pro Helmet Decals started the trend. The Sabres wore them in the Winter Classic at CitiField vs NYR, and the Kings wore them last year.
  17. I personally knew a NHLer who would get his skates sharpened 2x a season.
  18. Correct. Try not to refer to Fire or Blademaster BFD as FBV - neither of those form dressings have a V shape as they are an evolution of a ROH.

  20. Blackstone tried to figure out FBV on them but couldn't.
  21. Yep - they even had it in top-end wood sticks.
