Actually, don’t think he is. I know I had bad tendinitis with stiffer sticks. And a shorter stick may put his wrists at a different angle. KT tape is garbage. RockTape is better. And @BenBreeg’s reco for an ART-certified chiro is spot-on. Ericca runs a clinic which specializes in it.

Saw the helmet; dismantled it even. When I was at Total Hockey we had a manager summit in 2015 in which all brands were present.

I'm curious to see how similar this will be to Easton's MIPS helmet (which never saw retail; was set to release but they were sold to PSG and it got mothballed.) What I'm not looking forward to is how this helmet will be perceived as safer AND fit everyone at the same time when it's never been that way.

There are limitations, yes. A Q0 becomes usable at 230mm. The zone that is profiled starts about 2-3" in from the toe and 2" in from the heel - roughly 65% of the overall runner. That's what is referred to as the working radius - you then blend the transition into the heel and toe by hand. If the radius spills out beyond that, then it's not effective. But to say that you can only use certain radii on certain sizing is not telling the whole story there.

Both systems use bars. You find the center point of the steel you're putting the profile on. So when the profile is applied, both points match. A larger radius provides stability. A shorter radius provides maneuverability. You're looking for the optimal setting to you and your skating style.

Once again, recommendations are just that - they're not absolutes.

Your LHS is able to order Blacksteel for the TRUE holder from STEP and/or distributors. They can't get regular steel for it though - they would have to get that from TRUE.

Perfect. So what you want to do is set some steel on there, clamp it, then carve a notch on top of the bolt. (I always have mine at 6 o'clock) So now, all you have to do is unclamp and slide the boot or steel out. You won't have to mess with that bolt at that point. Now if you have to do some goal skates, turn the bolt clockwise to accommodate the 4mm steel - chances are the notch will be either at 9 o'clock or 12 o'clock - then you'll be able to clamp. Adjust your holder, then reset it all when you're done.

Protective doesn't fall under this. It's always been about the product you can see. When all of this started, CCM's aim was to get players into their product at the CHL level, so that way as they moved on to minor league hockey, they would still use it, then once in the NHL, they would stick with it. There was no way that a player was going to be forced to use a brand they didn't want to if they were on a one-way.

It's very interesting how Warrior got into a position to do this. A few years back, there were a lot of people in the industry who wondered how they were still around. But they've put out a lot of good product, have good relationships with the major dealers (until a couple of years ago, one of them would barely touch them), strong at pro, and have the best social media in the industry.

Two things need to happen - You have to adjust your yoke bolt to give it clearance for the 4mm steel. What I do on my holder is put a spring between the bolt and the yoke, then determine the height for regular steel. Once that's done I put a notch on the top of the bolt, so that I know where to turn it to after I do goal steel. The other benefit to this is that the spring will keep the bolt in the same place every time, so I never have to tighten it - just put the skate on and put the clamp on and pull. From there, it should be about 6-8 clockwise clicks to drop the holder. Wheel is the same. Pressure is the same, but you'll need more passes to cover the thickness, and you must be very careful around the heel and toes.

The way that the testers are reviewing them is they are putting their reviews next to their usernames. There is also a rating system that they are using. So just match the profiles to the users and read their insight.
