In the interest of full disclosure and all, Purolator made good on the screwup and is refunding me $135 of the bill. Good on them. Not a vent but wanted to close the loop here else Purolator gets a bad name.

I'm working on it. Still sounds like a bit of a scam stating the weight at 11 lbs and perhaps thinking the coroporate client won't notice. No way the package weighed over 5 pounds.

Shipped some gear to a member and decided to use the company Purolator since it is only slightly more than mail with our corporate discount. I made the decision to use Purolator since the guy was in the office making the daily pickup as I was on my way to the post office. Decided to eat the extra $10 or so and save me a trip to the post office. Purolator man was in a rush so he had me sign the waybill and said he would take care of everything else. I told him go cheapest route and told him the weight was around 3lbs. He said he would take care of that. Just got a bill for $173 for the shipping! Turns out the weight was marked at 11 pounds (for two shin pads) and the guy checked the overnight box. Member on the other end got the pads in record time though. He now has the most expensive pair of used shin pads in history. Not going to trust anyone who says "I'll take care of it" again.

Been battling a nasty cold for a couple of weeks. Took a day off work to rest up. Return to work and am in a tiny meeting room with a manager who brags about how sick he is with strep throat blah blah, all designed to make him look like a real dedicated trooper. That was last week. Now I'm even sicker. I missed all of last week at work and four planned hockey games with an infection in my throat similar to strep and still feel like crap and am having a hard time breathing.Should have stopped by the office this week and coughed all over said manager's desk.

Spent many hours putting together a movie in iMovie 9. Had to sort through close to 90 minutes of raw footage to boil it down to a few minutes. Very time consuming. Get everything just so and after I export the movie, the sound is all screwed up in a few places. Discover (numerous internet posts) that this is a common bug with iMovie 9. Nice to find this out after all that time wasted editing. Should have stuck to Final Cut.
