They are X70's with split fingers and plastic inserts. Not really a full team yet, sort of a joke that got out of control ;)

I see what itchman is saying. In the catalog, the D-9 pattern has an 'X' design on the back rolls and the D-8 has the arrow look. On Eagle's home page, the D-8 is showing with the 'X' and the D-9 with the arrow

I would say it is a good change though. I liked the way the skate fit and felt on my foot.

I tried on the 2005 CCM Pro Tack skates today and was surprised how much I liked them. They are much improved in my opinion, from the 2004 model
