Yup.. The team is entirely company sponsored.. So everyone plays for free. There are like 3 company guys that plays, one of which organizes the team. I got told to sit out the first play off game and never got an email about this game (The championship which the team lost by the way) .. The guy favored potential to run up the score over anything else. the roster is pretty stacked with players anyways. Its free for everyone. It no longer becomes fun when expectations are set to win and to win big which the organizer encourages the team to do. Their are a couple of dick teams that we dont mind doing that to, but there are also a lot of other teams who we are friendly with . Anyways even though its free hockey, I am out come next season. I am not upset about it., but it rub me the wrong way enough to say I don't need this stuff..

was a "healthy scratch" the for two C league playoff games. .Really? WTF. I know I am playing for free but thanks for showing your appreciation for sitting me. right now I am considering finding another team just out of principal.

I think I mentioned this before, the glide on the 3/8 was great except with my weight, i was digging in too much on hard ice. JR did up a pair of runners for me at 100/50 (I think its the 1/2" equivalent) and after some minor adjustments I could not be happier with this setup I feel more confident with the cut and JR did a great job on the runners. I don't think I am going back to a traditional sharpening if i can help it!

Chadd Yes thanks for putting the FBV on my runners. I should have listened to my gut and gone with the 5/8" equivalent vice the 3/8". I skated on the 3/8" and the edges bit more than I wanted them to. The last time I had 3/8" on my skates it felt like i was on rails and I had to work more than usual. I usually have the skates sharpened at 1/2". The glide FBV was better comparing the 3/8 type of cut, but again I could not get used to how much edge dug in.

My wife gets to try out 90/75 .. I snagged a used pair of Grafs for her that were done up with already.. Anyone doing FBV in the DC area?
