  1. Background: 5_10 188 Initial thoughts: A quick warning to the Warrior haters, don't read this. First off, aesthetically i think this stick is great, brown with beige and orange striping, retro lettering, and blue warrior badge. It is 48" long, which is a minus for me, i prefer 52" so i had to add a 4" plug. I got the shaft in 80 flex, a big plus since 80 flex shafts are hard to come by in retail. It has grip, i would quantify it as a smooth version of nipple grip, less tacky than easton and bauer grip, very nice IMO. After a few uses, some areas are peeling, nto quite as severe as MM zbubbles, one spot of lost grip doesnt tend to run. For a little background, i had an 85 flex AK27, which i absolutely hated. This shaft is not light, it is noicibly heavier than the AK27, and i would consider the 80 flex rating accurate. Performance I paired this shaft with an old RTM Inno Korolyuk blade, like i stated before, this shaft has some weight to it, but not enough to be called "heavy." Stickhandling felt very natural, as the stick is not overly weighted in any area, slapshots came off very quick, wrist shots even better. all in all i would say i was exceptionally impressed with the performance of this shaft. shots i noticed were very accurate, moreso a blade factor. Short term I have used this stick about 20 times, and i couldnt be happier, and ill continue to update
  2. LOVE the new ST, and MORE love the surfer shorts jock
  3. im not sure if theyre out yet, i work at a shop, so i called and got those 2 and the johnson
  4. that one was 420 grams, lasted about 6 minutes. the second one was nicer, Black/grey/yellow, 485 grams, lidstrom, shots were exceptionally nice, but that one only got a few hours before it broke in the same spot
  5. the stick broke in the hosel (see second pic)
  6. other than being broken, nothing =)
  7. Gaborik Stealth "S17" and Cajanek SE
  8. 4 months and the sitck is still going strong. a surface crack has formed on the blade, but keep in mind i use it 4-6 hours a week on synthetic ice doing nothing but shooting. flex, accuracy and velocity are all excellent. not one complaint out of me. I'm impressed, considering i got the stick with the specific intention of beating the s**t out of it, and its held up
  9. Its been a while since i had anything worth puttin up here Had to use my Starskie since i broke my 7K give me the rock
  10. no you shouldn't, Buzz is ashamed he only has 12 right now :( haha

  12. Marry the girl.....you found a keeper!!! :D Lets blame that one on the writers strike, eh?
  13. Didn't the Bauer Vapor series definitively proove that one piece of equipment should not be attached to the next?
  14. ill have to look at the barcode and stickers to confirm, but i was told i got 10.0 shaft and blade with the Sickkick paint, the blade is similar to some pro stock ccm blades ive seen (ovechkins for one) and it feels like a contour grip 10.0. ill investigate further. another fellow worker ordered righties at the same time as me, and recieved sickkick "V8.9" in the old paint scheme, mine have no "8.9 or 10.0" denotation on them anywhere
  15. got as in bought, misspoke, sorry. took them out today, theyre actually V10.0's (they said they were the new ones, i'm assuming that means 2nd generation catapults, not U's) regulars run a little stiffer that advertised, the blade is VERY thin and VERY stiff. they recieve passes well, and the flex breaks in nicely after a few shots. Contour grip is also very nice. less grippy than most pro stock sickkicks/10.0's ive had. but they shoot like Rockstars, poor goalie this mornin never seen it comin
  16. did they only send u 1? no i got 9 total
  17. Yeah its a bit of a hook, ill get a pic in better lighting

  19. Fury Sidewinder Marleau 85 flex Black w/ Blue accents 59.5" factory length First Impression: Very nice shelf appeal, stick is all black with a blue sidewinder design down the length of the shaft. factory length measures 59.5" butt end to heel. adult sticks offered in 2 flexes 85 and 100, and 5 patterns. Marleau: Most similar to a YP, but more open, 5-5.5 lie 21: Modano/P9 not a clone, 5 lie, more closed, like a SWD Bouchard Gionta: Indescribable, 4-4.5 lie, short blade, open heel, like a Zhamnov or Khavanov Primeau: Sakic/Gaborik cross, open mid curve Williams: Lidstrom like, more gradual curve and less open Feel: Shaft is extremely boxy and rectangular, very solid, not a light stick, but by no means heavy. Felt good stickhadling with a sweedish ball. smooth coat shaft with no grip. Flex: 85, feels a bit stiffer, until i began shooting, then felt like 80-85, i kept it full length so keep that in mind as it is a long stick. at first the shaft seemed to torque a bit too much, and i was hoping it didnt send my shots to the left. as it turns out it didnt, and the stick feels very nice to shoot with. Blade: very nice, didnt see anything concerning initially, shot for about an hour and used it in my game, and i didnt notice any major cracks scuffs or nicks. it is a little rough on the hands to shoot a one timer, or catch a hard pass. All in all I'm so far impressed, I did not at all like the Diamondback, but so far I would cal this stick a keeper, i intend to do a long term review. Shaft View Sidewinder Graphic Marleau YP/Marleau
