Skated for the first time in 5 1/2 months this morning. went to a pick up session that only one other person showed up for so I had half the ice to myself to just feel it out. hte ankle feels a little stiff, but I'm ready for some more!

No, filed 3 claims for the same incident over the last 5 months. each time I call back, they know nothing about it. it's frustrating. haha exactly.

screw health insurance companies. Broke my ankle 5 months ago, filed 3 claims for a company that claims to cover all emergency room visits, and I keep getting bills for $475 every time I make a claim. this is such bullshit.

I have to disagree. there's something charming about how mechanical they look. like a crude easton skate.

Going to try on some new skates today, hope to get back on the ice next weekend!! it's been 5 long months but the doc said I should try out the ankle. UPDATE: Bought some 9k's for less than 300 bucks on HM's Black friday sale. getting so close to getting back out there that I can almost smell it!

I've been out of commission with a broken ankle since June 19, doctors appointment this coming tuesday. Hopefully he gives me the ok as well.

It's been a constant barrage of curses coming from next door tonight. I live in a rowhome in Philly, and every once in a while the mom next door goes off on her 2 kids. it's a shame. If I cleaned it up it wouldn't even be a sentence.

Doc said I could ditch the walking boot today, back behind the wheel of a car and starting physical therapy so I'll hopefully be back on the ice by halloween. holy shit it's killing me but I can't wait.

So around 6:30 EST my co worker texted me telling me he had an extra ticket to the phils game. After about a split second of decision making he grabbed me at my house, we drove down to the stadium, had a few beers and watched the game. Afterwards we stopped at Pat's for a steak and some cheese fries. Beautiful night for a ball game and an unexpectedly good night indeed.

Awesome barbeque yesterday. We got my dad a smoker for father's day a few years ago, and ever since he's used any excuse to bust it out and use it. Not that we argue haha. Yesterday's menu was smoked babyback ribs, smoked beef brisket, and smoked pork but for pulled pork sandwiches with a full aray of barbecue sauces. needless to say the 20+ people there used a little more gas on the way home. PS Facebook has done wonders for our family. it was the first time in probably 10 years that all of us were together for anything outside of a wedding.

so taking the boot off yesterday, pinched the peroneal nerve so now I have no feeling on the top of my foot. hopefully it's a relatively minor thing that will only piss me off for a few weeks.

Started walking again today a bit more. Dunno if I shouid. Doc said 1-2 weeks and that was last week today haha. one week closer to the ice.
