  1. goblue, when I was reading that, I misread this line I read to the end of the line, then went back to the beginning of the same line, so I thought you wrote, "kids are all underneath me..."
  2. learned last night that my Aunt's ex-husband, the father of my 2 cousins, and his wife were killed in a motorcycle accident earlier in the day. a real heartbreaker because he was such a nice guy that would brighten up any room he was in. a little bald jewish fellow with a great sense of humor and he really knew how to make you laugh when you needed it. it's a real shame. especially considering he was the reason my parents even met.
  3. I like that it comes down further on my face and gets closer at the bottom, so it's barely in my vision.
  4. i haven't noticed it in my vision, but it is a little better for airflow I think, and the ear loops can flip out all the way which is a nice luxury when putting it on my big head.. I like it more for the light tint. helps my sensitive eyes.
  5. buddy got me a pro stock Nik Zheredev visor.
  6. Yep all too familiar. The second worst for me was when I was in Orange County CA and got one with no meds around and I just had to deal. I get them from dehydration and over exertion. If I go play and don't drink 1.5L of water, my chances of getting a migraine skyrocket. Also, if I go full boar the entire time and drive my heart rate up, I get the aura before I even leave the locker room. and like you said, they linger for days after wards and really limit me.
  7. Had one exactly like this in my freshman year high school. It was the worst I've had and I'm 23 now. Caffeine or something to knock you out is all you can really do and it sucks. Being a Flyers fan i'd make a joke, but I feel your pain man.
  8. Yea, and we Jersey drivers catch all the flack...
  9. So I park my car in nearly the same place all the time, but last night apparently someone swiped my car as they drove past, taking out the mirror, 3rd one in a year, and jamming into my drivers side front wheel. didn't realize it until I started driving, which luckily school is less than a mile away, but had to hold the wheel at about a 45 degree angle to get it to drive relatively straight. spent a good portion of the afternoon trying to and finally getting in touch with the Philly police to file the report so we can make an insurance claim. on top of that, this is turning into the flu, and I still have no bacon... Ohh yea, and during the big snow storm, a AAA vehicle hit my car. luckily they left a note and filed the report.
  10. One of my coworkers is a part time skating coach, and she informed me that a flyers alum might be starting up a clinic and she might be able to get me in as one of the coaches for the little kids. I've thought about looking into it, and it could be a cool opportunity.
  11. I avoid that stuff as much as possible. I had a similar 'episode' a few years ago where I just had a fever spike that went away. still a little under the weather today, but not nearly as bad as yesterday. And sickwilly, couldn't be more true about the bacon haha.
  12. Was feeling fine around 3pm today, by 4 I felt like I was on fire, and by the time I got home I was shivering. Took a nap, still felt crappy for a bit, decided not to go to my saturday night pick up game. Of course now I feel absolutely fine. ugh.
  13. All I want is a bacon and egg sandwich. why don't I have bacon!?
  14. Cherry Hill Triplex? home of the most annoying spokesman ever?
  15. So I've been back on the ice for about a month since breaking my ankle in June, and last night I absolutely crushed a one timer from the bottom of the circle into the upper part of the net. First good one timer connection since getting back and it felt amazing.
  16. As a recent Recoveree of a broken ankle, I can relate to your excitement. I feel good for ya bud.
  17. love that curve akhenat0n
  18. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5hJDMA_e-Cn_u5dKfcR6F8rZZpoNw?docId=6d9191a19531432382ce0aa42604acdb Shine on Jack LaLanne
  19. Did it come with the remote control or was that seperate (This coming from the guy that drives this) 98 sable (with only 90k miles, running perfectly, so whoever is going on about low mileage for an '01, there's proof that you can definitely be wrong on that one) on the Pacific Coast Highway between San Francisco and SLO on a drive back from a Phils Giants game. and yes, those are Jersey plates.
  20. A lot less heavy than my last vent, but the stupid new iPhone case I got just cost me another student ID. They get stuck to the front of the phone in the little depression created by having a case on it, and I don't realize that they fall out when I take my phone out of my pocket. twice in less than a month, and a new ID is 25 bucks a pop...
  21. Just found out my Grandma has inoperable cancer. She wasn't showing any symptoms, and they found it during some routine tests. Huge bummer, but they say she should make it until her 90th birthday in March and beyond, they're just not sure how beyond. I'm hoping she makes it to May when I (knock on wood) graduate college.
  22. ebay forced me to create a new paypal account because I changed the email associated with my existing account, and now I can't link my bank account to the new one because it's still linked to the one I actually use, and because of that, I can't send the money anywhere, so it's sitting there and limbo. stupid technology.
  23. looking forward to this one. they are delightfully boring.
  24. suicide is a tough animal. one the one hand you wish you could have helped and you look back and realize the signs, but on the other, you realize those signs were not blaring and it was a selfish route. for you it seems that his pain was just too much to bear, and that can really be the pits, but take solace in the fact that he is no longer feeling that physical pain. It was something that he was never going to get away from, unlike mental pain or a broken leg. The most you can do now is be there for the family. Good luck, and be glad that he can finally rest without pain.
