  1. You have to dremel out under the 2nd wheel to make the clearance for it. If you grab one of the Tours or Alkalis off the rack, you can see that they build it into the boot.
  2. Probably because I was in the right place at the right time to get him one of our frames. But at that size skate, there is a serious advantage of going all 80s. Since the 2nd wheel is recessed into the boot, you still get a lot of the mobility of having smaller wheels in the front, while having a much larger contact patch which allows for faster speed while working less.
  3. Looking good! Let me know what you think of the Addictions. A lot of tech has changed in the last 14 years as far as wheels go.
  4. You can give myself or Rob an email and we will be happy to take care of this for you. Sorry that you have been having issues. We will do our best to make this right for you.
  5. How about one of me coaching my son at WIHA finals?
  6. Picked these up during the HockeyMonkey Memorial Day sale. Put a Hi-Lo Kryptonium frame on them, they feel good so far, but it seems like all of the vents in the frame make it warp a bit when loosening/tightening bolts.
  7. Any chance of a nylon glove coming out? I've found that they seem to be a bit more long lasting for inline?
  8. I've seen a lot on the fit of the skate, but what is the sizing like? Two sizes down like most other brands now?
  9. Got a chance to see the sticks and pants at Junior Olympics in Huntington Beach. The sticks look pretty awesome, they have the same shaft shape as the Mission M-1, which should make a lot of people pretty happy. I didn't get a chance to get a really good look at the pants, they didn't arrive until late in the tournament, but style wise, they looked pretty good. Here is a pic of the sticks:
  10. Brass = Vegas Gold / Penguins Sport Gold = Yellow / Bruins & Steelers
  11. Just picked these up off a friend. Brand new too…
  12. Stretchy mesh material actually. Almost like the top of a skate/soccer sock.
  13. $59 from HockeyTRON, might be the best glove for the money on the market today. Haven't tried them yet, but they feel as protective as my pro stock EQ5's. Also love the retro look of them.
  14. It was actually even worse than that. Orange County Drum & Percussion used Keller shells also, with a markup probably 3x more than DW. I'd be all for off-brand hockey gear. If nothing more than to keep companies honest. It doesn't seem like it has hurt the golf industry very much, most people who are serious still have a bag full of TaylorMades or Clevelands (I know I do). What it will do is let someone have a decent performing item at a better price. That being said, I don't see the CrazyMonkey sticks flying off the racks...
  15. Is that actually red stitching, or does it just look that way in the photo?
  16. What is the sizing of the Fuel line? Is it around the same as the Syndicate line or does it fit like the old Mission skates being true to shoe size?
  17. I believe they will do Bullies if you do a team order.
  18. About me: 6 ft 185 lbs, high level men's league + officiating. I'm probably on skates around 4-5 times a week. Grip: 10/10 - These wheels are super grippy on both SportCourt and IceCourt. The pink layer on the inside is softer than the outside, which really helps grip. Speed: 10/10 - Usually if a wheel is grippy it isn't fast. Not the case with this wheel, again because of the two durometers on the wheel. The harder layer does not slow me down at all, which is usually the case with most grippy wheels. Durability: 8/10 - I used the wheels for 2 months of heavy use. Refereeing takes a toll on wheels, and these were no exception. The wheels did wear evenly, rather than chunk down the middle. Had one wheel break at the hub for me, but some idiot in mens league took a huge slash at it off the faceoff, Eschelon offered to replace the wheel anyways. Looks: 6/10 - Pink. Enough said. I've been chirped a bit for them. Value: 8/10 - I'd have liked this wheel to be more in the $8 range, but it is still priced better than a few Labeda wheels and close to Revision & Rink Rat. Overall Rating: 9/10 - I'm pretty picky when it comes to wheels, and these are some of the best I've used. I really don't care how they look, or what color they are. If they perform like I want them to, looks don't mean a thing.
  19. Bauer 7000 Boots Mission Mag Chassis (Off 08 Boss Line) Bones Reds Eschelon Prophecy wheels
  20. Is that a CCM branded Warrior Dolomite?
  21. Just because you personally don't like a product it isn't a bust. BladeTape type products have quite a following.
  22. HejdukSport MH-X for my Mission Intake
  23. The 2007-09 USA Hockey Rules and Casebook has 3/4" as the max curve. Also, FYI, The AAU/USARS Inline rulebook states that there is no restriction on blade curve.
  24. Looks like a right handed Hossa, The blade tape makes it look less drastic than it really is.
