  1. Or if it's just the curve you're looking for, check for Knuble or Hoglund sticks. Not sure if either used XN10s but they had the same curve.
  2. With all the other Sundins I'd posted, I didn't put up pics of the Novius ones I had. 2 blue and 1 red, I forget what the difference was supposed to be. Grip? None of them had grip on them. Krev- I found a pair of 7500s but the cuffs were torn to hell because I remember trying to make them a zero cuff. Didn't end well, but I wonder if a shop could Frankenstein them back to life.
  3. Finally went to clear out some junk and go thru an old stick bag. I still have another one to go thru, but this one had some shafts (ACs, Grip Lites and some blacked-out shafts I think were supposed to be Warrior/Innos) and these relics. Apologies if this runs big: They go: Vapor X, Nolan, Sundin - Sundin ST (I think that's what that model was called) - Sundin SiCore, Lundmark Stealth (forgot how gorgeous those were)- P31 XN10, Doan SiCore.
  4. Francis came a little after the Bure was around, right when Bauer started making their blades all black and not covered in the weird wrap. The Tverdovskys I remember looked like that Pittsburgh pattern I mentioned; just really straight till they jutted out at the toe. That was on their wood stick line, so I don't know the +/- on how uniform they were with the patterns.
  5. Because they're all more-or-less toe curves, which is what the discussion was about regarding Easton's patterns. The other thing they have in common is their apparent lack of success.
  6. What was the old Bauer toe curve? Tverdovsky? I remember that selling like whatever the opposite of hotcakes is.
  7. I still say it's a niche. They seem to be loved by people on the board but I never see (m)any actually used in the years I've played. I see maybe one a year, dating back to the time I first saw the old Christian Pittsburgh pattern.
  8. I had a term for the cause but it's probably frowned-upon.
  9. It's a niche curve. I'm guilty of buying one every so often to try it, especially the freakishly grotesque curves like the Ovi pro, but always end up going back to a heel.
  10. And people think there's still significant market for toe curves when that curve is going by the wayside. I'd seen more guys use those than anything toe-ish.
  11. Got an early Christmas present from one of my buddies after I told him I was playing again. I'm really interested in trying out the Z-Bubble's 95 flex, but I couldn't help but get the 7100 ready to go.
  12. Vasyunov (RIP) and Kovalchuk swapped sticks a bit it seems. I've seen him using Kovy's stick and vice versa.
  13. I've switched to long sleeve tops as my shoulder pads and elbow pads have become pretty gross to have against my skin. A price I'm willing to pay till I can get new Techniflexes and replace these.
  14. Picked up some 122 flex Bauer TO shafts last week and have my first game in ages tonight. Started to get two of them ready and dug around for blades and found some ancient Bauer Kovalchuks I didn't even remember having. Pretty sure I'd bought them for a friend and he just never came to get them. I forgot how ugly its blade shape was and how much of a banana he used to have.
  15. I was never one for Hostess or anything but when I went to undergrad in NJ, that's where I got hooked.
  16. And if it leaves any kind of void, I hope it means I'll be able to get Tastykake on this coast.
  17. I've heard of unions that do well for their members (a lot of electricians, carpenters up here have a great union) but some are just silly. When my brother was working summers at a grocery store's dvd rental desk he had to pay something like $40 a month despite working maybe 15 hrs a week. I don't think the union ever did anything for them, either.
  18. I blame the company and not the workers. When you don't change your business practises or evolve with a changing market, you deserve to lose. Double that when you can't flourish in a nation as fat as this one.
  19. Thanks guys, and this is #5. We'll call him Johnny 5.
  20. Next kid is a boy. Balance is coming back to the force in this household.
  21. Disney bought Lucasfilm for $4 billion and plans on Episode VII for 2015 release. Lucas has been grooming Dave Filoni to replace him for years and I'd say the franchise is in good hands.
  22. I'm totally fine by that but no one gives a shit during a Coca-Cola commercial or a sneak peek at Rizzoli and Isles.
  23. Our theatres kick people out for doing it. Haven't had to personally single someone out but I've seen people escorted out before. As much as I hate these kinds of annoyances, I hate silence Nazis that bitch about noise during the pre-trailer bullcrap theatres show. I went to a re-screening of Jaws a couple months back and was talking to my friends (quietly) as the usual pre-trailer crap was on. It wasn't loud and we were trying to keep an eye out for a friend meeting us. An older lady that sat in front of me turned around and said "I'm trying to enjoy the movie." I just laughed it off but her husband looked annoyed with her. Then during the movie when people in our row tried to get out, she was the only one who didn't lean up so her seat back was out of the way. A couple girls stumbled trying to get past her, but when I saw a guy on crutches coming into our row and her seat didn't push up I just gave her seat back a nice firm push with my foot. It's too much of a hassle to see movies now, least of all with all our kids. Now we just take them to see kids' movies at a theatre-pub that has a more laid-back atmosphere.
  24. I have quite a few of those IIRC. The Innos, 1 Si-Core and a Synergy because they were Sundins. I know I have the grips too, because those were Arnotts and I still have 3 of those. Other than that, most were broken along the years except for the MM Z-Bubbles.
  25. Reminds me of an old pic I came across from my house around the same time. Granted this was maybe half of what was cluttering up my spare room.
