  1. Syinx, you thought the mako II tongue felt thinner? I thought easton went to a thicker tongue this year.
  2. 2 weeks back playing after groin pull and get a shoulder separation. Son of a b!#ch.
  3. I wear an 8 in Bauer and my makos are an 8. Hockey monkey might still have some inventory left.
  4. Anybody attended one of the Easten Ranger Camp session where you can demo the Mako II and new synergy stick?
  5. Ideally you want to rotate those sets to avoid the shock of new steel.
  6. Asked this just recently but post got lost in the site rebuild. For those that have switched to a different insole, what did you switch to and improvement? Also did you leave the red insole underneath?
  7. For those that put LS2's on them how did the pitch feel compared to Vapors or Supremes?
  8. Krev, I assume the pitch on the steel is still the same on the Mako 2 ?
  9. I did mine at a hockey shop since I bought them there. It was a Bauer oven.
  10. I'd skate in then abd see how the feel. If need a 2nd bake, then do it. But bake them longer per the instructions. Most Mako boxes either said 10 minutes or 16 minutes. I did my first bake at 10 and then after a few skates rebaked but for about 12-14 minutes.
  11. Oops. Thanks. Didnt check the video. I prefer to read. LOL.
  12. Is there an English version?
  13. How has the toe been holding up? Do they offer a rubber toe cap?
  14. I got the ankle sore spot and so did all 4 friends that bought them. 5 out of 5 is not too good. And since they are tweaking that area on the mako2 it seems it is the skate and not the wearer.
  15. Kinda bummed no new helmets. Was hoping for a price drop on the E700.
  16. Had mine since March playing 2-4 times a week and still look great.
  17. agreed been using mine since March and look nearly new. a guy last night commented, "look at those shiny new skates"; I had to laugh..
  18. Baking these is the key to maximizing the fit to your unique foot. Bake them.
  19. the steel has been great for me . holds the sharp edges longer than my LS 2.
  20. 2 1/2 half months playing two to three times a week, things still look basically new, no issues at all for me
  21. Ditto. Rolled it out. Got silipos/bunga sleeve to let it heal and no issues since. The low cut nature of the boot is affecting most.
  22. That happened to me my first time using them. Hasn't been an issue since.
  23. what about shipping them back to the store you bought them from and having the store file the claim on your behalf and have them send them in to easton for you
  24. Update: Helmet: 5100 & 4500. Bauer,Tron visors. Avision bubble. Shoulder Pads: CCM U+ Pro Shin Pads: Reebok 11k Elbow Pads: 7k Pro Gloves: One60 & Warrior Surge(oiler colors) Pants: Reebok 7000 oilers, Easton 85s Sticks: Widows Gionta, Totalone Toews prostock. Skates: Easton Mako & MLX
  25. Compared to APX/APX2 they are bit heavier. Compared to model 1 or 2 below that used the non-Fusion steel, the weight feels pretty darn close in the hand. As for the steel I think it holds an edge very well, just like my MLX steel did. I think it is better than LS2 in that regards. Deathtron mentioned to me what he did and it seems to have worked for me as well. I just heated that area that was bothering me and rolled it outward some. I also put an ice pack on it to help it cool down faster and hold the new position.
