Are they goin to make any 2006 hockey video games?

And if so what would they base the players on, there skills from

the previous game, or they'l just make up atriubtes. Or would they

not even make up a game, i mean would any of you buy it if it came

out even considering that there atributes are totally made up, or the same ones

as last game ?

The question is which one did you guys buy? I played ESPN 2k5 and I thought it was the best hockey game in a while. I hate EA Sports and their crappy arcade style gameplay.

Yes that's true. Depening on what game you played did dpened on wether you liked it or not... With EaSports games its an arcade chessy stlye kind of game, where thry focused to much on graphichs ( which werent that great aswell), and there "open ice" which didnt really make sence as if u were on a 2 on 1 u could use the computer to take out the defence ( can you say interference) then you have a 2-0 or breakaway. Also dynasty mode was set up horribly, but with 2k5 they gave the gamer what he/she wants. Instead of having just a skills challenge and all star game, on the calender, you can actualy take part in them. And EaSports sort of anwser to that was Free4All where it was a game of hog? appealing at first but boreing very quickly. Also with EaSports giving you a choice of practcie was cool, but would of been better if u vould acutally do a practice n make drills and watch ur players do them like if u dont selected to play in a game and u watch) or you could be a player and do the drills... imo 2k5 raped easports this year and will continues to do this in the years to come.

If you wait for August you can get NHL2006 for free if you get an Itech helmet and cage or visor. I'm not buying the game after 2005 sucked as much as it did.

I'm not sure what I am going to do. I hated 2K4 then went back to EA 2005 and it wasn't terrible. Chances are I'll grab one because I'm a pussy like that, but I am not sure which to go for. I'll definately need a fantasy draft in the one I choose. One thing I think would be cool is at the start of a franchise/ Dynasty or season...if they had an interlude with like Goodenow and Bettman having a press confrence to declare a new CBA has been reached.

yeah ill agree with you guys. NHL 2005 sucked. I hated how there was no create-a-player. i may buy 2006, depending upon how good of a rating ESPN NHL 2k6 gets. theyre games arent bad at all, and with a 19.99 pricee tag, you can't beat it. although i have to admit, Madden 2006 is looking really really awesome. so hopefully NHL 2006 can look the same way.

I'd deffinatly buy it, it's our game guys we love it! It would be really cool if they incorporated the college level live recruting and such. Or even make a college hockey game, but no company would ever do that "hockey is going way down hill".

Don't support Ea. They are creating a monopoly. They see that espn is started to get more popular and that it is a better game...so what do they do? Buy them out.

for those wondering whats going on with NHL 2006, there is a fanbased site for NHL 2005 where you can download new graphics for 2005 and discuss the game. The fans there had a chance to ask a bunch of questions which were compiled and sent in to EA for an interview. They're still waiting for a response but they should hear from EA soon.

I don't understand all you people that say NHL 2005 sucked. I really enjoyed playing at will continue to do so until i get 2006. On the other hand i hated 2k4 and 2k5 they both seemed like awful games with very bad skating and shooting animations.

i don't like 2005 because its not as good as it could have been and it was very promising. I still play it and I probably will, I've just probably started my 20th dynasty too. I didn't like NHL 2k4 because the commentary was just gross and so was the game for the most part. I bought 2K5 to see what the big hype was about and it turned out to be a great game, it's just that I'm still not a fan of Bill Clement and Gary Thorne. As for the graphics of 2K5, the animations are good but the graphics are pretty crappy. But hey, gameplay or graphics? (i'd really choose both)

NHL 2005 I still play because I added in a Vapor XXX stick I made and added in a whole load of things to make the game playable.

How do you add stuff like that in the game?
