Your probably right about Fleury being #1. They probably talked with Cujo but he probably wouldnt sign unless he was number one and they might have told him that he wouldnt be that guy.

it could have been worse they could have talked greg milen out of the booth or signed glen hanlon or worse yet bill ransford or even worse than that greg steffen. the bright side is ozzie is only signed for 1 YEAR at 900k, legace is making about 1.1 mil. ozzie has not been given the #1 job. they have to fight eacher other for it. next year there is supposed to be a bumper crop of goalies avaiable. the wings are close to signing jimmy howard of maine.

Sauve was terrible in the games he player. Five goals in the first period against Calgary, in one game. That said, I think he will be a good goalie, it was his first year and he did not play in the AHL. The problem I think is that Lacroix wants an experienced backup for Aebischer, someone that can take 10 to 20 games off of him, just like they are hoping Prusek can do for Denis in Columbus.Sauve, just isn't experienced enough or consistent enough to do that yet.

Denis and Abby were better when they were here. I probably liked Sauve a little more as well. To be honest, if it wasn't for his one weak goal a game I would say Lawson was better. For some reason he ended up pissing off Fixter and he didn't play for long stretches. As for Budaj, he has a long way to go before he's a "stopper" at the NHL level. If Colorado is going to be using a CHL team as their top development squad this year it could be a step backwards.

He played in Hershey for two years before he played for the Avs in 03-04.
