Pink Mission OPS

Recommended Posts

I just had the Mission rep in the shop to show me the new OPS PINK stick! It is a Z-1 with a PINK paint job. We no longer have womens/girls travel hockey in our building so my market is gone. Would any of the guys play with a PINK OPS?

I have a lot of women/girl customers, the last thing they want is Pink. On the other hand, I sell a lot of pink tape, laces and taci-mac grips to the "boys". Some just have to be different. It's a fad, I wouldn't stock many of the Pink Sticks though.

It's also the current "Big Contsest" on missionhockey.com.

I entered...but if I was to win...pretty sure it'd be up here in the Sell section.

the market would be to juniors and intermedietes....if you stock one or two the kids coming in for sharpening might be brave enough or want to be cool and buy one. then the whole team might want one, but its hit or miss. i would use a pink stick if it was the perfect stick for me. and oh, if i was about 5 inches and 40 pounds bigger.

I'd use a pink stick, maybe not a Z-1, but if the Hex-1 or M-1 came in pink, i'd use one for sure.

So Mission is actually making a pink Z-1 now? Or are we talking about the contest sticks?

I agree completely. We've done extensive market research on women's hockey and the consensus is that they want to be treated "just like one of the guys." Regardless of which demographic these sticks cater to, I think they will be popular because they are different and they stand out from the rest.

I find that the girls playing in gender specific programs like pink gear. It's the girls that play with the boys that often try to hide their gender and most often want to blend in.

I want a Pink stick..... we'll never get them in England though.... weve only just got stealths for sale here. we never get any really high end stuff for ages after its released because its so expensive ! A stealth in England costs about £180 which equals to about $325!
