What's your best skill?

Recommended Posts

I'm not that great, but my hands would have to be my best attribute. I have a tendency to over-handle though (try one too many moves). I thrive on one-on-one as well; my job is to humiliate people.

I'm just an all around kinda guy. My only stand out skill would be how I play in front of the net. I seem to do best there, screening the goalie, deflecting shots, and getting "garbage" goals.

skating..all aspect of skating...i'm a great scorer guys..but don't score as much as a real scorer guys would(does it make sens??)...i do everything i need to do to score the goal

(pass to the guys...give and go...chip it on the board...overpass the def..see the big hole on the left corner of the goalie....and....HIT THE POST!! see??)

my pass is not that good...but i have this great vision of the play which make me a great scorer guys...but lack on stick-handling...so i never can't really finish my play...

Single best aspect of my game is my ability to hit guys with an outlet pass. The problem is I have so much confidence that I try to fire the passes where I know I shouldn't. Most of them still get through.

Cobraa, if you don't put the puck in the net your not a good scorer. :D

I do...but take exemple... i had 14 goal and 18 assist in 28 game...the best guys as 16 goal 10 assist...i'm still the 2th scorer in my team...but have a lot of assist too...i just miss some stickhandling pratice....

If my math is correct, that would leave you with 32 points and the leading scorer with 26?????

I think he means goals-wise, not overall points.

I've had teammates get picked on 3-on-1's. All they had to do was pass to one side and it would become a 2-on-0, but they were more concerned with putting a move on the guy in front of them.

I'd say it's more important to help your team win -- particularly if you have a chance to go somewhere in your career.

I'm pretty well rounded. I wouldn't say I have quick hands, but I have smooth hands. I'm good at protecting the puck and I have pretty good confidence with the puck. Skating, my strides are nice and complete and I can be quick when needed. I'd describe my game as smooth.

I've seemed to master the art of getting thrown out of games for running my mouth against consistently terrible officiating.

The ability to not loose the puck when someone pushing, hitting... pratically to use my body as a block so the defenseman cant reach puck.

The ability to see where are the defenseman weak point when i have to pass him on 1 vs 1: where to go, where to put the puck... but my not exceptional stickhandling dont let me take advantage of it sometimes... :(

Need serious improvement on slapshot accurancy, and on my terrible backwardskating it's not tecnical lack on backward skating but i am really slow! :(

Now that I think about it, I really don't have any great skills, like on almost every team I play on i'm one of the top players, I get good amounts of points, but I don't do anything that much better. Most people say my best skill is my shot, which I will say compared to kids my age other than Junior A/College/Pros (I'm an 87 birthyear) is probaly better than average. But if I had to pick a best skill, it would probaly be the ability to go to the outside and use my speed to go around someone and create open lanes for my self.

I think my ability to jump up in the play (as im a defence), I have picked up my pace of gameplay since the last year. I just have to get a little more rougher aswell, start using my size to an advantage. Another thing is my shot has gotten more acurate as of late. Which i am proud of.
