Best (SNES) Super Nintendo game!

Recommended Posts

COME ON PEOPLE!!! All you have to do is say what your favorite SNES game was and why!

I was stuck between "Killer Instincts" and "Streetfighter II Turbo!" But killer inticts takes the win! Why u ask!!!! Why didnt i pick "Zelda," "Bomberman" or "Super Contra"????

Coz nothing's better than inviting a friend round and killing him with a 21 hit "ULTRA" combo! LOL!

PS. I just turned 18 and i still love my snes! I can even remember the christmas i got it!!!!! :P

I won't even touch the new video game systems....too much detail. Newest system I have is N64 and I only play a few games on it (WWF, EA NHL games).

My favorite SNES game was also my first: Super MarioKart. Great fun especially the battle mode. I even had that 4-player adapter....made for some great buddy get togethers!

Also loved the EA games (Madden, NHL, FIFA). NBA Jam was also a classic.

Never owned a SNES myself (was a Sega guy myself at the time), but I enjoyed playing Donkey Kong Country at a friend's place. And of course the EA sports games like the NHL series, true classics that are still playable.

super mario. it had like 100 levels but you could beat it in 16 levels, o and street fighter 2 turbo was the best ever. mario kart on n64 was awesome, and nhl 95 on sega was sick too. we still have 95 tournies here

'95 is still the best game around. Back in school we found a Genesis and '95 at a pawn shop then proceeded to play it for shots. If I was given the Nords on that game I would beat God Herself at that game.

Agree on NHL '95. It was a great game, but my favourites on that system are easily Super Mario Kart and Super Bomberman 2. BEST PARTY GAMES EVERRR.

Had a softspot for KI (screw 21 hit combos, ever seen a 100 hitter?), SFII Turbo, Super Contra, Chrono Trigger (which, incidentally, is imo, the best RPG ever made), Tecmo Super Bowl and Ninja Turtles Arcade as well...just too many great games on that machine, I can't name 'em all.

But bottom line: Mario Kart + Bomberman 2 + Chrono Trigger.

Hey Mack, I noticed you referred to God as a woman. Taking a page out of Kevin Smith's book or looking to stir up some conversation?

For SNES Stanley Cup Hockey and some weird ass Motorcycle game I loved. No idea on the name, all I remember was playing "Tag" on motorcycles, which was awesome. I was a Genesis kid myself.

Gotta say the original mario kart. I still go over to my cousins and face him in battle mode. For the NES its gotta be duck hunt.

Looking back on it, Genesis dominated sports games but SNES probably had the better action/other games. Except for Mortal Kombat, because Genesis had the blood code and 6-button controller.

Stanley Cup hockey blew hobo. That was the game where it looked like TRON and your shooters shot both hands. There were no good hockey games on the SNES.

I'm not sure of it was only on Sega but did anybody play Mutant League Hockey? I liked that game more than the ea nhl games. Mutant League Football was good too.

That game was horrible. I remember there was a play (328 zoom I think) that worked 99% of the time for a TD. Then there was Pat Summerall being 4 plays behind on the call.

I'm a big RPG guy

loved Final Fantasy II and III, Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger =)

Ah yeah, Chrono Trigger and the FFs...I think those are the only RPGs I ever liked. The new stuff is way to complex and convoluted...old school RPGs all the way!

I think Chrono Trigger might just be the best game EVER made.

The team names in mutant league hockey were amazing! Like the Death Skin Razors and Slay City Slashers. I wanted my intramural team to be called the death skin razors last year, but nobody else did of course.

There was also a mutant leage football game with some of the same teams and player names like Lu Cifer. Ridiculous!
