Worst Call ever made against you

This guy on the other team lost his stick. He started grabbing on mine (no call for holding) and then I let go of my stick and he cross-checks me with MY OWN STICK. We both went to the box for cross-checking. How could I cross-check if I didn't have a stick?

The refs in the uk are useless, there are exceptions to this...but not many. First call was this season, on of their players does a blaitant cross check from behind on one of our players, i say to him to watch it, he starts giving the big mouth, so at the end of the period i tell him to be stop being a dick, turn round and he punches me in the back of the head, he gets 2 for roughing, i get 10 for incitement. Maybe a 2 for unsportmanlike, but 10!

Another was when a ref was calling absolutly everything, one kids stick had broken in the middle, slight, he hadn't noticed, it still had struckture, the ref stops the play, looks at his stick, gives him 2 minutes, one of our players say to the kid, "that was a bs call" and the ref gives him 10!

The worst call i have ever seen was a while back, a scuffle had gone on, the refs were talking to the announcer getting the penalties, a captain goes to talk to the ref and the ref shouts "get out of the circle!" so he does, so they're talking, and a player brushes past the captain, he looses his balance, falls over into the refs area. "WHAT DID I TELL YOU? PERSONAL MISCONDUCT 10 MINUTES!"

So I'm on a breakaway (it was at the end of a shift so I tierd.) As I'm running out of gas, I see the defensemen catch up to me, so I throw it to my right hand and try to protect the puck long enough for some help, well the defensemen gets his stick under mine and lifts it up, then he hits it so hard it flies back and hits him in the helmet. I get a penalty for high sticking.

That is a very comon call, I see that alot, it is a stupid call, in those cases i think that the ref should use common sense if the person intentionally hit the player in the head with his stick, or was it lifted up and couldnt be brought down.

tripped a guy, got 2 min for it... he was pissed as hell, as he had a great opportunity to score, and after that, he swung his stick, hit me cleanly on the side of my helmet... he got 2 min... what the hell man, he should have been ejected for that...

im with chadd, most of the stuff i do is pretty obvious and get away with maybe too much....one of the nicest things i saw was this spring in a midget aa/aaa tourney my brother and another kid dropped the mitts and went at it, which should be a game, after a spirited fight the ref said "let me break this up, no more punches and ill just give you boys 10s" i thought that was a real class move....but the next game my brother was cross checked like under his cage, lost 3 teeth blood every where so he dropped his gloves and lid, took the kids dome off and went to town, the other kid was throwing em with his gloves still on, the other kid got a 4, my bro 5 and a game, different ref of course

There was a weak call against me, I can't remember what it was exactly now, but the ref was trying to make it even(we were winning like 6-1 so he starts giving penalties to our team)so he gives me 2 for something and I'm pissed and I go to the box asking him "what for?" so he tells me to shut up and go to the box. Play goes on and as the ref's skating by gliding into the zone I yell taunting him "skate, skate" he stops the play and kicks me out. There was less than 10 minutes left so I figured I got 10 and left without saying anything. After the game I find out he gave me 4 games! He said I called him gay. WTF. lol This was last season and it still pisses me off thinking about it.

last night Whisle blew the team we were playing against one of the guys tripped his stick caught me in the jaw Guy said sorry like 5 times, (I was cool with it it was a mistake). when this happened I tripped and fell on him.The Ref called me for roughing!

In the semis of a tournament in Rochester last year with about ten seconds left I was taking a beating in front of the net. We were up pretty big with a little time left so the other team was just trying to start trouble. So I pushed the kid back and cross-checked him to skate away.(I would have been fine with two minutes for the cross check.) Though, instead the ref skated over to their bench talked to their coach and pointed to the locker room and told me I had a spear. So to make a long story short, I got a game and couldn't play in the finals which we still won by the way. That was one call I wasn't happy with.

It was near the end of the game, and i was deep in the defensive zone. This was looking staight at me and he had the puck, dumped it out of the zone right as I cranked him. I got kicked out for hitting from behind ( maybe since I sent him flying into the boards although it was a clean hit ) also got one game suspension since it was in the last ten minutes of the game.

i remember one time in peewee my coach said "whats the call ref" when our guy got a penalty and the ref blew his whistle and yells "youre outta here". it made no sense at all and i think the ref was senile as he was about 65 years old.

This call wasn't against me, but a few days ago a guy on my team got 10 for staring at the ref...the ref said "he was starring me down"... it sucked cause there was only 9:45 left in the game and he had to leave the ice. we lost by 2 goals and we probably could have came back if we had him.

Two weeks ago, i'm playing D, puck goes to the point, and my man starts to go to the net. As the shot goes through, i tie my man's stick up, goalie makes the save, and my guy falls in front of our net. Ref's hand goes right up, i know I'm busted. All i did was hook the guy's stick. He fell on his own.

End up in the box, ref comes up to me and says, "You know you're a little stronger than some of these guys on the ice, so you can't hook them that hard."

I had the most dumbfounded look on my face. So now there's a level of hooking I must adhere to??????

I couldn't believe it. And i'm 5'11, 180. Not exactly the biggest guy on the ice. And the guy I tied up was my size.

Apparently it was my fault the guy wasn't strong on his skates!!!

(probably the funniest call I've seen)I wasnt on the ice at this time, but we score a really nice goal. Meantime one of our players is in the corner getting pounded on by two of the other teams players, the guy who scored and another guy on my team go in to grab guys to break it up. Everyone keeps throwing punches and then when they seperate, everyone is done, Our guy who was getting pounded on throws the one last punch, both guys fighting got a "match penalty". Funny part, the ref asked for everyone that was on the ice to go see him, ended up having both lines from each team in the penalty box

my worst call, all 3 hit from behinds i got last year. if you hit someone head on, and they fly backwards, and go face first into the boards, you shouldn't get dinged. drove me nuts.

I was playing D, a guy on the other team shoots the puck and our goalie covers it with his glove, the whistle blows the guy then whacks my goalie in the hand and as he is skating away he cross-checks me from behind. Here's the call, me 2min for slashing my own goalie, him 2 for cross-checking. Like Chadd said I've gotten away with alot so maybe in the world of hockey karma I'm even now but that was strange.

First game of our home tournament, first period. Scuffle breaks out, i'm 10 or 15 feet away. One of their guys is talking to my centre but not getting to close so i give him a shove from behind, not too hard, trying to get him to lash out at my guy or me and get a call. Instead the ref grabs me and gives me 2+10+one game suspension for "hitting" from behind. The call wasn't third man in, it was already about 8 guys shoving each other.

Trying to stir things up like that from behind, I'd say you got exactly what was coming to you.
