god, those skates are so nice...

I hate to drag everyone down, but..... I tried on the One90s too (even had them baked) and ya know what? They are just skates. Yes they are nice and yes they are light (I could not really notice a difference over the XXX), but they are still just a hockey skate. As far as a custom fit, I was more impressed with the Kor to tell you the truth (had those baked too) and because of the fit, they felt just as light. These One90s are nice, but I look at them as kind of like when the XXs came out. Everyone ooood and ahhhhhd, but in the end, it's just a skate. It's not going to turn you into a player you are already not. I say don't get ahead of yourselves by saying "That's my next skate" before you even see them. $600 is a lot of money. Just my $.02

The XX was quite a change in skates though... I know I was quite a bit overexcited at them though when they came out and i'm sure i'll be the same way with these. The MORE custom fit though does draw my attention just because i find it difficult to get a skate to fit my foot well.

No, it was a small change in skates but a major change in marketing skates. They made them a little lighter. Kors and one90s appear to be major changes in skates thanks to materials and design.

I know the skates won't make me a better player, but if they perform well and are comfortable to wear, i'm still gonna buy a pair once my XXX's are done.

I can see checking into them when it's time for a new pair, but there are a bunch of folks here that have said that they are going to buy them sight unseen. Including the guys who just bought skates. They may be made from the latest materials and what not, but it's still just a skate. The seas did not part, and the sun did not come out when I put these on my feet. Very nice skate as I said before. All I am saying is is that the people going ape shit for these should take their time before buying. It's not $200 nicer than the top skates out right now (IMO).

But did you skate on them? The synergy skates dont feel all that different when you put them on but on the ice is where you feel the difference.

Yep, that's when the skate really sucked for me. :)

Dunno if you saw our thread in Feedback and Questions, but NBH provided ONE90 fit stock at the MSH skate last week.

They felt nice. I would have to mess with the blade when I get my pair.

ultraflight.jpg

I found a pic of the shoes that I was intially talking about...air zoom ultraflight... notice the blue plastic heel and midfoot sections.

Next thing you know, it will be the hurrache 2k10 featuring a special mitochondria liner with Osmosis and shox 2.0 in the heel to get a better push off from the ice. First baseball cleats, and now hockey skates. I wonder whats next... perhaps bowling shoes...

The skates dont look bad, but i dont really care for the color of the holder. Personally, I think skates and holders should be sold seperately.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but the One90 has a plastic toe cap...craziness

Aren't they all...plastic?

Yes, I am referring to the toe cap...Bauer skates have always had nylon knit covers

The new Supreme series features plastic toe caps. I saw the product line yesterday. The One90 does look great. The One70 is also an excellent skate that will retail around $400 US.

Tongue is neoprene, correct?

Reminds me of the Mission Footsox. Felt sweet as hell, but a bitch to replace holders.

I have a pair of amp flyweights down stairs and I had to cut off the sides of the "footsox" to put on a roller chassis. Real shame, I thought they were great too.
