Chadd 916 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Bingo, I live about three miles from Twin Ponds East. You must not have been at Hooters at the right time. There were a few nice ones last time I was in. The ice at West is usually much worse than the ice at East. In fact we had a game last week at East after a full day of tournament games and the ice was as good as I've seen it there. Mike did a great job.

Laurel MD3) What is your age? 394) How many years have you played in the league? 35) Did you start at the beginner (lowest) level? No6) Have you moved up in level, since you started playing? NoStarted playing because my kids started before me. Someone suggested I'd stop yelling "get up, get up" so much if I put pads on my self and went to pickup. It worked. But now I yell "cherry pick".Joined a bear league team and now I coach my 2 sons. I play myself to stay just a step ahead of my son so I can keep coaching. Its worth the time in exercise too. Iceblade 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2006 1) What league are you in?NHL - Novice Hockey League :) No lie, it's called the NHL.2) What is your location?Houston, TX3) What is your age?334) How many years have you played in the league?25) Did you start at the beginner (lowest) level?Yep. Hockey 1 class... first time ever on ice skates.6) Have you moved up in level, since you started playing? Not technically, though I am a much better skater/shooter/passer than I was two years ago. Claim to fame was a 5 goal game in my 3rd season (seasons are 11-12 weeks) when my parents came down from Ohio and happened to catch me playing. Needless to say, my teammates requested that they fly down every week. :) I've just swtiched from L/C forward back to defense due to a shortage of D on the team. My backward skating sucks, but it's passable. I'd like to be ALOT better than I am, but getting time to just practice skating outside of weekly practice or games is pretty tough with a 2 year old. Well, that and TIVO-ing the Center Ice games.Glad to be here.Regs,Jeff
