Does anyone know how to change an ipod from windows format to Mac? I just got a Macbook and I want to switch my iPod to that.

Anybody? This is killing me, can't find it anywhere.

Yeah i read that, somehow it read my iPod once on my MB but now i think i fucked it right up. Unplugged it while it was restoring it, then just formatted it on my pc. So its completely empty. If i just use the updater would that fix it?

So Vapor, Ive still got the same problem with a frozen screen, and its fully charged cause i keep it charged all day long. the screen just has a check mark and it says " ok to disconnect"

I tried doing what you said, holding down the forward and rewind buttons for a few seconds. after that didint work i tried holding down each button indivually for a few seconds. Is there a reset thing i could do. or do you think that apple would refund me cause its a defualt? ive had it for two years.

not a good idea, this will drain your battery big time, charge it till the battery is full then unplug.

I'm a little behind the times, so I'm looking for advice before I purchase one. If you could select from today's IPods, which would you get? How much memory? Are the video IPods worth it?

The Nano isn't worth it IMO. If you're going to get an iPod, up the 50 bucks and get a video iPod. They hold more songs, and hold videos with very good viewing-quality. If you're not going to have many songs, then maybe the Nano is the right way to go. The 4G holds 1000 songs, and that's what I have now. I had to send it back about a month and a half ago because it broke (look back a couple pages to see how or why), but I got a new one the same day.

Do the videos cost extra when you download them? I think the main reason I am getting one is as an insurance policy. I have tons of CDs I don't feel comfortable keeping in my car anymore.

If I remember correctly, if you buy them straight from iTunes, it's $1.99, for say a TV show, but $.99 for a song. But I just read yesterday that Apple is looking to get into having movies available to purchase, which will up the cost for movies. Or, you can download other videos, like hockey videos, or errr, let's just say other videos from websites that don't cost anything.

Cool, that's great information. I might hit you up later for the inside on the other movies or hockey movies. :P

I'm going with the 30GB then, I think. 60 is probably overkill?

The 30G holds up to 7500 songs, 25,000 photos, or 1000 videos.

The 60G holds up to 15,000 songs, 25,000 photos, or 2000 videos.

So it all depends on how much music you actually have...The price difference between the two is $100, with the 30G being $299.99. All in all, the 30G is the best deal. Had my mom known that the nano held 6500 songs less than the 30G, but for only 50 bucks less, my mom would have gotten me that one for Christmas. I couldn't tell her though, because I didn't even know I was getting one.

Get a case or a cover for it, just for protection reasons. You won't regret it, and they're not that expensive. Protects the iPod, prevents scratches...you won't regret getting one. If you want to listen to it at the house and don't have a car thing, then you may want to get a portable speaker system, but they can get pricey.

Something like this will do the trick. For my nano, me and my sister have the jelly covers for them.
