I was at HockeyGiant and saw a bunch of them today. The Jamal Mayers ones are heavy, 15" and stiff as hell....I didn't like them at all.

They had a couple pairs that said "Team Finland", another pair of Jere Lehtinen (Finland colors) and a pair of them that said "Ottawa Senators" in Ottawa colors. They were ok, but the pair that REALLY impressed me were these ones in Carolina colors -

I am really picky about gloves, but these ones were really nice...light, nylon, splite fingers and they already felt really broken in. If I were to choose out of any of the pro stock 5000's, those would be it, definitely.

Are the pro stock nike ignite gloves decent? I used to have a pair of Ignite 2 gloves and I really liked them. I need new gloves soon and I am trying to decide between another pair of Mission M-1 gloves, or the Ignite pro-stocks.

I got a pair in chicago blackhawks colors they say blackhawks on the cuff and the bag said jonsies model. They are nylon and split fingers and they took zero time to break in and they feel great, they dry fast and they are light. My only quirk is the thumb is tighter than I am used to but its not bad just different.

Damn, if those were Ty Jones he hasn't been with them for a while.

that's true but they are kind of generic so maybe someone else used them too or like you said they've been sitting around for a while, but they don't smell old.

Are you talking about the nike ignite gloves, or bauers? If you are talking about the nike gloves, how is the protection? How are the palms? Would you reccomend these gloves over retail Mission M-1s?

If I'm not mistaken, the 13" glove is a 14" with a very short/no cuff, while the 14" has the basic cuff and the 15" has 5 backrolls or an extended cuff, correct?

I've only tried on M-1s in the store, but I'm currently using pro-stock ignites and would rather have something with split fingers and a little more flexibility. The ignites have plastic inserts throughout and are very light in weight. I don't think they are lacking protection. They are a leather/nylon split. The palms seem average at best. They were really soft to begin with, but started getting crusty after a few weeks. Overall, I don't like the feel of them (personal preference of course) and think they are a little dated.

How does sizing in the Bauer 5000s run compared to Vapor XXXs ? I wear a 13" Vapor.

And, are there reasons to like one over another, or is it just the same old PP ?

i bought the pro stocks from hockeygiant's store. they told me that since they are pro stocks, they all don't fit the same. some guys like their gloves made differently. i usually wear a 13, but the 14 i picked up seemed to have fit fine. and another 14 that i picked up (different team) fit even closer to a 13. i'm not sure if this is true or not...or maybe i'm just crazy.
