I was only joking.

That's what my size 9's weighed in at. Is that 800-900 number from the manufacturer? They might weigh them with a smaller size, without the laces or steel or holders or whatever. You never really know.

SRI, how about size 7.5?

seriously man, it will fall between the 7 and the 8. is it really going to make a lick of difference???? no, you won't notice the weight.

as SRI said, try them out. if you like them, and they work, then the weight is the last thing that you should be worried about.

So wrong. Weigh the insole, Easton! It puts that skate right above 800g.

Funny thing is that I know exactly who weighed those skates.

XXX 795 g

You can't expect them to be totally up front, then it wouldn't be marketing.

I weighed the Kor's fully loaded! The damn insole doesn't come out!

What about laces, wax or regular? What length? come on, you're cheating somewhere.

If the skates fit and feel good, go with them, this insane obsession with weight is nuts.

Seriously, that's like the last thing I think about when I skate - "Damn, my S500s are bricks."

I completely agree. I've never really noticed a big difference in any ice hockey skates weight wise after using them for a while. I do have the KORs now and like them a lot, but it's more about the fit and performance then the weight.

The only skates I've ever really noticed the weight of when using was a pair of Rollerhockey skates - the Bauer Vapor 6s with the Aluminum Rocker chassis...those babies do feel heavy even after you've worn them a while.

I don't think most people will notice 100 grams here or there after skating in a pair of skates for a while...now if it's several hundred or 1000 grams that will be noticeable.

It's like with an OPS - I think feel and balance is more important than overall weight...but there are a lot of people focused on getting the lightest equipment sof of course the hockey companies and there Marketing departments exploit this fact.

The marketing departments created those people.
