Call me nostalgic but I really really wish they wouldn't change the Duck's uni's. Except for the black and purple third jerseys. Go back to the inaugural threads I say!

I look forward to the change. The old uni's are dated. Teal was everywhere in the early 90's. As long as they don't add a black jersey. Wayyyy too overdone.

WTF is a "Thrasher" anyway? I like the old Ducks logo, when I was a kid I went out and bought a jersey even though I was a Sharks fan. The new logos are really boring, I'm not sure ducks will ever be cool or intimidating.

Looks like L.L. Bean bought a team! That's a hideous and boring crest. And the webbed D is nearly as lame. Is there some new school of thought out there that hockey jerseys have to be totally department store? What jersey redesign from the past 10 years doesn't suck?

I still have nightmares over the lime green Stingers on Columbus' original jerseys!

im more of a simple, yet effective type of guy.

complicated logo's are good, but idunno, i think its more clever to be simple w/ the logo with an underlying message or reason to it...

eg/ hartford whalers, vancouver canucks C logo, that sorta thing

edit: as per the new ducks logo, i dont really like either of em, but if i had to choose, i think i'd prefer the 1st one over the 2nd one (which kinda contradicts what i just said above....but then again...there's not really much to say about the 2nd one...)

From an LA Times article:

The Ducks will unveil new uniforms during a June 21 news conference that will accompany the change to their simplified nickname that does away with the current Mighty Ducks moniker.

Tim Ryan, the team's chief operating officer, would not divulge details of a new color scheme or logo but said "we are very close to being done with it."

With exceptions for various alternate third uniforms over the years, the Ducks have used their current logo and purple, jade and silver color scheme since their inception.
