You americans should consider yourselves lucky. Over here ion the UK we can't even take a driving lesson until we're 17. You can get your full licence the same year but id still rather drive at 16.

Also insurance over here is insane. If youg o it alone and insure it in your name as the main driver your looking at about $4000 just for insurance. If you 'cheat' and get your mum to insure it, then add you as a named driver its still about $1300. Add in the fact gas here is nearly $2.10 (cdn) per litre.........

First car was a 98 ford escort ZX2 decent car but the tranny was shit. Tourque converter looked up on the first one. second car was a protege, had it for a week gave it to my sister bought another ZX2 this time it was an S/R and less than a year later the syncros from 2nd to 3rd gear went bad. So I bought my newest baby my 05 X-Runner

I would recomend anything toyota... well not anything because a lot of the late to mid 90's camrys with over 80k on them need strut mounts, and are leaking oil from just about everything. valve cover, oil pan, rear main, cam seals, crank seal, oil pump ring etc... Well I am a toyoa technician so maby im a bit biased but toyotas will outlast most anything out there

Whoever was looking for a maserati, they are far overrated and will break down and the bill for the repairs will make you want to cry.

Just got my car, my dads old one. A 1996 Suzuki Esteem. Great little car. Sick gas mileage too.

I dont understand why people need their cars to go sooo fast and put turbos and superchargers in them. Serioulsy, when are you going to go that fast?

I very rarely run my m3 on the street, i get way to many improper equipment and speeding tickets, my m3 is pretty much a race car, I usually run at a local road coarse, its a pretty nice track and doesnt cost an arm and a leg to run there

I used to go very fast in my Fiero. The speedo on it only went to 85 but I pulled away from a guy who had his speedo pegged at 125 when we were racing.

Its hard to explain. Its a hobby. I Autocross my cars and trucks so there is a reason for modifications. And its a good feeling punching the gas and getting thrown back in your seat.

The first time you get a ride in a 1000+ horsepower car and experience first hand how it makes your spleen feel like it's going to rupture, you'll know why.

i got a g35 for my first car. I guess I am very lucky. I have since gotten rid of it, and currently drive a CTS-V. I am currently looking into selling the V and buying a used Maserati Coupe. They arent as expensive as they sound. You can get one with about 20k miles for under 40k

An investor for a company I used to work had all kinds of luxury cars. He was buying them about once a month. One time he drove up with a brand new yellow Maserati Coupe... man that was a nice car. He also raced indy cars with his son for fun just because he had nothing else to spend his dough on. He also wasn't the brightest guy, imho. I guess it doesn't take too many brains to sell your company for $100 million. Right time, right place and you too can get yourself a new $100k car, paid for in cash.
