DarkStar50 679 Report post Posted April 26, 2006 I was wondering what some of you guys pay for a stick and puck session at your local rink. Also, what time of day do you have it? Which day of the week? I need the info because I'd like to propose the session for one of our rinks. I just wonder what the average cost is. Please mention if you do this in Canada or US. Thanks. sabre09923 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2006 I don't really remember what days they were open for puck and stick at the rink. I think it was Mon-Wed-Fri, and it cost $5, kids or adults for an hour and a half. 12:30-2:00. Oh, and I live in the U.S.I only had time on Vacations and the surprise day off. Nothin' better than having school cancelled and heading out to the rink to shoot for an hour and a half.

JR Boucicaut 3801 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 At RDV it was $8, M-F 5 pm, 9pm on Sat (between drop-ins) and Sundays at 4. Novi only has them on holidays, like Spring Break, for $6.
j8Zt8r 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 Here it varies between $5 and $7 USD. About 5 rinks offer it up and all the times do not overlap. They start as early as 6 AM and usually till 6 PM. You can get ice here everyday of the week. The most used time slot is around lunchtime when a lot of us go out on our lunchbreaks.
freq019 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 one rink has them at random times typically 6ish for 1.5hrs cost is $8.50USD and goalies are free with a limit to I'm thinking 3 or 4 Goalies. I also think they cap the S&P at 30 skaters but I am not sure on that one.
tjl_48 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 For us it is free. There is no age limit which stinks because the little kids never come off the ice. They only have it at the most twice a week but during the high school season you are lucky to get it once a week.

DarkStar50 679 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 I made a chart of the various times and costs. I gave it to the people who would schedule this. I think its a good idea and something we should have here. We have 4 rinks! Right now one is down for maintenance but 1 rink is figure skating all day, rink 2 is public session and rink 3 sits idle until after school hours, late afternoon. None of the other rinks in the area have puck/skate. Of course, when I think something is a good idea is usually when someone else kills it because they didn't think of it. Thanks for all the info.
