Downey one-punched a guy in a similar fight back when he was on Dallas. Norton wasn't stupid enough to try and jump in and Downey didn't seem to want to grapple at all.

In one of the Hockey News specials, the one with the hanson brothers on it, there was a section on one of the old NHL refs, who gave 2 guys 5 minutes each for dancing. When he called it, the official who keeps the records asked him to repeat himself, and he said "5 minutes for dancing" he said, "don't you mean fighting" and the ref replied "you cannot call what they just did fighting, 5 minutes for dancing"

He then received a call from the league offices the next day to remind him to call only penalties that are in the rule book.

If you don't have this hockey news I highly recommend it. It was called "The lighter side of Hockey" and was only $5 or $6 .

Excellent bathroom material, and does a section on each team too, with player oddities, jokers etc.

Anyway, that fight reminded me of that little "5 for dancing" story
