TPS Pink OPS to retail

Recommended Posts

My TPS rep confirmed that they will be bringing the Pink OPS that was used in March in the NHL to retail. I don't have any other details to pass along.

Once I know the program, I will contact you.

jimmy, thanks for your thoughts on pink to camo. I tend to stay away from the fad colors.

They've been selling the hot pink woodies...

Are these going to be the breast cancer benefit OPS? Any portion of the sales going towards breast cancer research? I don't use TPS, but if I had to buy a new stick and could find a TPS pattern I liked, I'd definitely give one a shot, for a good cause.

Jimmy,

The Mission pink OPS was a fad item, IMO. The TPS Pink OPS has a purpose: Support Breast Cancer Research. You might want to ask your wife when her next mammogram is. There is a hospital in the sticks, right? Or, do you have to get in your horse and buggy and ride to the "big" city?

How are your pink laces sales doing? When I see pink laces on skates in the NHL, then I might buy a few pair.

I have no prob with promotions for charities, I'm just saying "pink" is dying out fast, .. laces, tape, the whole shebang.

The pink Flite OPS has proceeds for Breast Cancer research as well, with a logo sticker right on the blade..

this would be a great opportunity to donate while getting a new stick!

LC,

I know where you are coming from. Someday, so will others. Its not an "excuse" to buy the stick. Its the reason to buy the stick.

Why not just donate $50 or so to the Breast Cancer charity? If you like the pink stick, buy it. If you like green Easton sticks, fine - but you can still support the cause.

I'm in no way belittling what TPS (and apparently Fury??) is doing. It's a great idea.

If you care so much about a cause or charity, contribute to it. Don't wait for a product to come out to buy in support of the cause, support it directly. More of your funds will go directly to the charity.

It would be good to see more manufacturers - from all areas, not just hockey - support charities, but I fear that a lot of it would turn into free advertizing and a sales angle for them. Hopefully not.
