First off, I'd like to say thank you to the MSH crew for allowing me to join.

I thought I'd start my first post off with a poll. Which company would you choose? Mission or Warrior? I'm looking for overall quality and which has the best curve, lie, flex selection. I'm not too concerned with price. Just looking for personal opinions, complaints, concerns.

P.S. Greetings from Iraq. I'm looking forward to coming home and getting back to the coolest game on earth. B)

Hi, and welcome to the boards. Ive not used Warrior so i cant comment on that. I can only say good things about Mission sticks though. They've always had flex's that were true to their word, I have always found Mission to have good curve selections, and they have always had good durability for me. I have used a lot of Mission sticks and they have always performed very well for me.

Greetings from U.S.A. And thank you for serving for and protecting this great country of ours.

^^ ditto on the welcome to the board and a safe trip home. I haven't personally tried a Mission twig in quite awhile and the Warriors for whatever reason (probably lacrosse bias) just don't appeal to me... Both are nice twigs but I'm just so used to my CCM's that I have no real desire to try anything else. (The old "if it ain't broke" routine). Why are you limiting yourself to just these two brands by the way?

Depends on the stick you use and what you like. Personally I think the Warrior stuff is over-hyped.

All the Mission sticks are different. I haven't used a Pulse but I found the Hex to be somewhat disappointing. Good feel but very poor durability in the blade and a tendancy to "give" on shots. L2 blades felt weak as well and were not durable for me. Z1 had poor feel and was heavy compared to what I was used to using.

i found the shaft of the Warrior Mac Daddy to be similar to my Vapor XXX Lite so I could see that being my next stick (cheaper too). Either that or an AK27 which feels perfect in my hands.

Thanks for the greetings guys. I'm not limiting myself to just those 2. I'm old school hockey and since CCM (someone correct me if I'm wrong) is the oldest hockey company out there I'm sticking with them. They have the experience and know how when it comes to hockey equipment. This is strictly my opinion. But I like to try new things as well. I've been out of the game for a while since I joined the Army back in 2003. I never heard of Mission or Warrior until recently this year. I never knew Nike and Bauer got together. Sad isn't it? :P I happen to like Sher-Wood when it comes to sticks. (Still a fan of wood) But composites and OPS are all the rage now and I'd like to know what the hype is about. I've heard a lot about Warrior and Mission in name only. I know there are a lot more manufacturers in the market. I'll probably do another poll some other time. But for now I'd like info on these two.

I have used them both and I thought the mission sticks had a better feel than the warriors but I thought the warrior gave a little better performance. All companies need to have a demo progam, that would make it a lot easier. Best wishes for a safe return home.

I can see that Warrior is the heavy favorite in the polls. I took a look at the Warrior website and they only have 3 models. The Mac Daddy, Dolomite, and the Royale. Which one would you folks choose?

first of all the royale is the lower end of the three its for people who dont have the money to buy a dolomite or a mac daddy or or a rec player who doesn't want to dish out big bucks for a hockey stick as for the other three yes is said three even though the don't have it on their website they have a warrior starskie stick as seen here http://www.hockeygeeks.com/display_product...product_id=1913

it is basically a special edition of the dolomite as for which one would i choose well the mac daddy is the more higher end stick out of all of them just a little bit more feel than the dolomite and it stands out (because of the color) but in the end i would choose the dolomite because the grip is good it has a nice feel the blades are amazing on the dolomite starskie and macc daddy i dont know about the royale. and you have a good curve selection but if i were you i would wait until you get back and go to a LHS and see what stick is the best for you.

have a safe trip back

I thought the royale was just a repainted inno 1100?

Warrior is the new innoative which is why they get my vote. Mission makes good products and I hear a lot of good things about some of their sticks. I'm actually planning on buying a Mission L-2 in a few weeks.

I have a M-1 and a Inno true one which is the same as the Warrior Mac Daddy and I would honestly say I like the feel and performance of the my ancient M-1 over the True one. The M-1 is an 85 and the inno is a 300 flex which is close, both drury curves, well kovalev for the inno. I have been using mission sticks for a while. I have had the dangler, a few flyweights, and the M-1 and I honestly love them.

Behind?

First to make a short-hoseled tapered shaft and first to make a dampening system in the blade that actually works, yet the other company is relying on 5 year old technology...yeah, way behind.

You really cant go wrong with either company. I dont know exactly what curve, flex or shaft shape your looking for but both companys make great sticks.

I agree, Mission is probably the most innovative company out there. They were way ahead of the curve with the low hosel tapered shaft. Yea the T-Flex was tapered but the shortened the hossel on the blade for the lower kick point. Mission is the bravest company out there.

My Dolomite - Draper is the best stick I have ever used, my shots and feel for the puck has never been as great as it is with this stick. I haven't played as long as many people here but I have used a lot of sticks in 15 years and this is for sure my favorite thus far.

wasn't the adrenaline?

I'm voting for Mission because they are way more easy to get, they have an iginla clone.Grip is nice, and i only heard good thing about the Pulse.

As for warrior, they are like inno ,hard to get(well , for canadian in general). I found their curve selection not awsome, they are all mostly heel curve in my opinions. Grip is nice, loved my TRUE-1 shaft, but still...i would like to try the ak27

I don't think I could choose. I have a Dolomite and it's my main stick right now. In the past, I've owned an L-2, numerous M-1's, and a Hex-1. I had nothing but problems with the Hex-1. I've heard good things about the Pulse, but I couldn't give up my Dolomite. The grip is perfect, it's light, and the blade has the most responsive feel I've ever had in a OPS. I will side with cobrAA on the fact that Warrior/Inno is very hard to find. I had never seen an Innovative stick until I came to this site, and still have yet to see one in a game. Warrior is easier to find than Innovative ever was, but it's still scarce. Both brands make fantastic sticks though (except Mission with the Hex-1)

Whichever brand you choose, you won't be disappointed.

I think that the Adrenaline had a shaft based dampening system.

ohh true, JR said IN THE BLADE...But still, isn't the same thing at the end? it is still a dampening effect!

The Hex had the most responsive shaft I've ever used, the blade absolutely sucked. The warriors all feel like garbage to me.

I had problems with my mission Hex-1, the blade chipped more than any other blade I've used. That said I've also had problems with my inno 1100, I couldn't get a decent slapper off due to torqing(sp?). However I'm going mission because I have a standard flyweight shaft (prob pro-stock) that I love. I'm getting a Pulse from the free stick deal so I'll see how that goes.
