looks cool,is that a mini bearing set up?(rink rat mb813)

I can't read what they say. They're a composite from the wheels on the new Rbk 9K pic on that thread. Probably easier to buy some and shoot them, but not in the middle of the night. My wife put them together. She did most of the work on the frame, which I just updated. The red logo is sicksicksick.

The only problem ive had with my sprung chassis thus far is toe picking. In an aluminum frame if you're about to fall or somehow get onto your toes you can save yourself since the frame is rigid and doesn't move. With the sprung the wheel compensates for the weight shift and you fall face first. Doesn't happen often but it never happened on aluminum frames. Its the exact same way with the back wheel to. I may be going back to hi-lo very soon.

I'm impressed. I thought you'd given them up a long time ago. I'm a little over the end of the suspension sometimes, but much less lately from skating more often. It's mostly when I'm very tired, now. Without them I would have been very tired an hour earlier.

I'll test the large on my 10s next weekend. :)

I'm working on Sprung's promotional and advertising stuff for next year. If you're interested in watching it squirm and wiggle toward completion, let me know... MyboxisfullIknow.

Depends on whether they are the old or new model. The old model flexes a lot if you're heavy...or if you push them really hard. I feel it when I skate on them.

With that said, there are a few (too many for my comfort) pros and national team players around the world, who are totally happy with the old model and are only now switching over.

Louis Gonzalez on the Sprung Hosers uses his old 7Ks with the old frame, because he loves the combo. At a pro tournament recently, he came up and asked me if I had any spare parts. I said yes, I could pull something from another pair, not realizing he meant OLD PARTS. I'm going to hide them and leave out new skates for him.

Same tournament, another of our players, still on old test boots with the old frame, broke the rear off one frame and finished in my Flexlites. He's big, and a size 10, and says he uses the flex. Both pairs have more than 300 hours of rink time. This is how you test stuff.

The new model doesn't flex much. No complaints.

I think I felt this a few times when I first started skating on the Sprungs. I noticed that when I tried an explosive start the toe would dig in and give me less rigidity than I was used to with an aluminum chassis. It would only happen on the initial push off and it happened maybe once or twice during my first skate with the frames.

That being said, I've played a couple games with them now and it hasn't been an issue. My biggest concern was the possible loss of acceleration and top speed but it hasn't been a noticeable issue at all. The maneuverability is unreal and I haven't skated this well since my Ice Hockey days. I can even stop on the inside of my foot which is something that I had never been able to do on my traditional inline frames.

Sprungster, I'm definitely a believer now. The One90/Sprungs combo is the best inline setup that I've ever used.

Easton Z-Air's with Sprung frames and old Bullzeye NHL wheels. Another wheel would look better but these seem to be holding up pretty well so far.

This is just sexy.... are those wheels in production??? Also, is there any plans to make a carbon (or carbon look) frame???? that would just be unbelievably hot..... I would leave my fiance to settle down with a set like that. And goalie specific???? could a 5 wheeler be done, or have to do a 6 wheel frame (like old Easton IZ frames???)

Hey Keith,

just asking if you shipped the frames so I can expect delivery here.

Thanks

Fabian

Hey Keith,

your PM inbox was full so I'm gonna leave a quick message here. I'm the guy who asked to get his 692 Tacks mounted by you.

I submitted the amount for the Sprung frames via PayPal. My final decision is that I will get them mounted by some LHS. I would have liked to get them mounted by you. Now I am not only saving shipping costs, but 2 x customs fees (import and export from the U.S.). It is just that much more economic. I am looking forward to posting my setup here soon!

Thanks for the support!

It's ball hockey... played on a 40x20m rink with full contact.

No iceing or offside.

Funny in my neck of the woods ball hockey is played without skates in full size rinks with floating offsides and refs. Some of my roller buddies call it foot soldiering :D

Now I've spent the past couple of days reading this thread. Outside of one goalie mentioning he bought sprungs I've seen no pictures what so ever. Where are the pictures? :D

Any other goalies using these? How are they holding up?

LOL so that is ballhockey.

Guess the clip I posted wasn't a ballhockey clip then... not even by a longshot. That sport (from the clip) is called Skaterhockey.

 THe lower caliber players seem to do that to try to make up for a lack of talent I guess. The higher div players not so much.

BTW the Worlds in Germany just wrapped up a couple of weeks back: http://www.isbhf.com/isbhf.php?lg=en

are the sprung chassis a direct replacement for an inline boot with holes drilled from previous frames? eg direct replacement to a mission chassi? or does it fit on the boot more like n ice frame?
