Last year my team won our leauge, went undefeated in leauge play, and was ranked second in the nation for Bantam AA at one point, we also took 2nd in state.

But for me as a player, On my Bantam AA team I took a slapper from the point the goalie was going to stop it with his glove but i knocked off his glove and the glove went into the net. That was pretty cool.

I also knocked ove a goalie with a slapper to his head, he was very small. He fell over and the ref had to stop play because he wasnt moving.

2 years ago I was the only defenceman entered into the breakaway competition and I won I also won the hardest shot contest too.

My first time playing forward 2 years ago I had a hattrick and was very suprized so was my team let alone my coach. That was pretty sweet.

Other than these I have won many tounaments and awards over the years.

-When our team won the provincial and the international silverstick tourny.. and in the provincial tourny i beat Mike Yorks record for most points in a five game tourny he had 14 if i remeber well and i finished with 17 pts (5 goals, 12 assists).

-When i got MVP of the game for getting 13 pts in one game lol 6 goals 7 assists haha we beat the other team 19-3.

-When my coach sat me out for not hittin the net when i would shoot during the game and then put me out there after being benched for almost 2 full periods.. i played slot on the PP and released a riffle and hit the goalie on the bottom of his mask and shatered the whole bottom of his mask.. then laughed in my coachs face afterwards haha

watching my son play his first real game and watching him score his first goal.

Wow, aren't these firsts great to hold onto? I never thought anything would top them, until three years ago.

Usually a centre, my daughter had played wing most of that season; the coach wanted her to see the ice better, and had said although he'd move her back for some games, to suck it up and learn and improve. Although tough for her, it made sense, she was good for 2 or 3 points a game and was great on face-offs, but she didn't use her wingers effectively and didn't backcheck much at all.

My daughter's team was in a tournament in the States; it had been a hard fight in every game to make it to the Championships. That game is one of the best I've ever seen, the teams were very evenly matched, both wanted to win and the goalies were just standing on their heads.

My daughter got moved back to centre for the finals and was on fire for every single moment in every single shift; all the strategy and playmaking of the game just clicked with her - absolutely the best game she'd ever played at that point. In OT she out-skated her own D to get back and shut down a break-away. The game winning goal came from her battling the puck in several times, with 3 or 4 shots on net - one of those heart in your throat, edge of the seat never-ending shifts. The line really worked as a unit and I was in awe of her toughness, patience and play-making; she was the 2nd assist on the winning goal.

The capper is the opposing coaches chose the MVP, and they selected my daughter. Always a sniper, she felt like she didn't deserve it because she hadn't scored in that game; so we had the opportunity to talk about why she had earned it - what is valuable in the game.

If I could go and thank that coach, I surely would. It would have been so easy for him to give it to the goalie, or the player that scored the winning goal. But that single decision in that single game completely altered the way she plays hockey.

Playing with my beer league team, we had fallen behind 4-3 by the end of the 3rd period. We had started against an empty net team, just didn't play as hard as always.

Less than 2 minutes left, we get a faceoff in their zone and pull the goalie. I come out as the 6th man. Our C wins the draw and sends it to the far corner. I win the race to the puck and flip a backhand pass over the d man to the c who scores to tie it up.

A minute later, we get to OT. On my first shift, the same C gets the puck and breaks up the ice. I'm off to the right wing side and slightly behind him in the zone. He carries the defender and drops a pass to me on my backhand side. I gather the puck and roof the backhander from between the dots right by the goalie's glove. I was celebrating like an idiot.

Those beers tasted REALLY good too.

Scoring my first goal in my first season, it was the game winner with 5 mins to go. And my dad was there to see it, first game he came to as he was always against me playing.

Having my first ever scrap this season and pounding the guy.

Going 5 and 0 in fights this season.

Setting a personal points record this season.

Being called up to play for the senior team this season.

Breaking the plexi with a hit last season.

My very first ice hockey game ever. Freshman team in HS, I got a goal and two assists. Thats not as impressive as it sounds though lol I got a pass in the slot and the defensemen decked me to the ice (not hard at that time since I was pretty much horrible), and the puck got pushed off of my stick to our player that was to my side and he shot and scored. First ice hockey point ever. Then the next period I passed to our defensemen at the point who made a great pass to a guy wide open in the circle and he scored, so I got the secondary assist. By this time we were killing the team so my coach said we were going to set me up for a goal and told me to stand by the net and told everyone to try and get me the puck. So what did I do? Skated into the corner when the puck went there lol I passed to my linemate (my best friend at the time too which was cool) in the slot and he shot it. I had gone from the corner towards the front of the net after I passed it, and the goalie made the save but the puck was still out inbetween his legs. I dug it out, kind of jumped over the goalie and knocked it in. The ref probably should have blown it dead but I didn't care, it was a great way to end my first ever game.

After the next couple of years of practicing and actually getting good, I had a lot more fun memories.

- Natural hat trick in just two shifts and four shots. Kept that puck

- Scoring 40 goals in a 12 game season for my varsity team. I had 37 coming into the last game of the season, so I had to get the hat trick for 40, couldn't have worked out better. Probably my biggest celebration after a goal.

- Scoring my first goal in juniors in my first game

- Dangled the hell out of a defensemen and goalie to score my first college goal

Well....

Blocking like 3 shots in my head that woulda gone in, going superman style in Peewee AA states..and same game blocked a few other shots that had a good chance of going in. THing was, I fractured my foot so I couldn't walk, but I didn't notice it on the ice..we lost 5-4 but still.

Down in the Flyers Skate Zone in Pennsauken, PA for the squirt houise tourny. THe team was huge and was being cheap and hitting us with no penalties. SO I got all pissed off and totally demolished one of the kids on the boards. After the game I got an icecream cone from a parent that was very happy, as were all of them from our team.

Playing up last year for another team, my first shot that game and it goes it, 5-hole from the point, right off the faceoff.

One game really stickss out in my mind:

Last year, we were playing our rivals, and we were down by 2 going into the third period. In the first minute, one of their forwards was rushing it and I angled him into the boards and hit him hard. He went in funny and he broke his wrist. IT was pretty funny considering my D-partner had already gave one of their players a concussion (or so we thought) earlier in the game). With 10 minutes left, I got on a breakaway, faked to the left and went to the right to backhand it right over the goalie's glove to make it 3-2. Then while we were shorthanded 3 minutes later, I blocked a shot in our zone, which made the puck bounce out of the zone. One of our forwards got to it, and beat his man one on one before putting it top corner, which tied the game up. Finally, with one minute left, we were on the powerplay and the goalie was pulled, making it a 6 on 4. I got the puck at the blue line and took a slapshot. My forward near the net tipped it in with around 30 seconds remaining. Final Score: 4-3.

wow, lot of memories out there.

I have a couple that stand out.

PeeWee - team hadn't won a game all year last game of the season we're tied, 12 seconds left I get a penalty shot and score to win the game, still gives me goosebumps

and about a year after that in roller hockey had a great season and our team won the championship, it's really a feeling I will never forget, my first championship in anything and everyone was so commited that year it meant so much.

and stemming from that first inline championship i am now on a 6 year streak of playing in the championship game/series, over that time 3 different leagues and 6 different teams, but the streak is alive! the cool thing is I have won the championship in all 3 leagues and I am the only player in town who can boast that (to my knowledge)

Why would you pull your goalie on the PP in a tie game?

Winning my college club championship. When I joined as a freshman, our modestly supported (financially and morally) team was pretty much in disarray--essentially in an extended rebuilding phase. In the earlier years, we were kept alive only by a small dedicated core who refused to be deterred by the fact that much of the university didn't acknowledge the existence of a hockey program on campus.

By my senior year, we breezed through our division, regained a spot in the regional ACHA D2 rankings, and were poised to move up to a tougher league. And I'm not ashamed to say that I slept with the championship trophy (on the bus ride back, it was in the seat next to me as I passed out with my fingers wrapped around it).

The first moment that I had skates put on my feet. Eventhough I was two, I am told by my parents that I cried when I had to take them off. Without that moment in each of our lives, we wouldn't be here.

3. (Long long time ago..) When I scored first 1 on 1 breakway goal, also game winning goal 3-2.

(I changed my position into D)

2. Last year's league When I scored First goal as a D-man, slapshot, tied game 2-2

(It was a perfect dayview, 1goal 1assist)

1. Last year's league: When I scored overtime, game winning goal, at the semi-final: Blueline, Slapshot 4-3. (Actually, I cried (T.T), Later, we advenced but we lost in final 7-2.. crap.. )

(the goalie was dumb though.. I was a bit lucky)
