You can't. If anything, maybe the face you pick is what factors your gear. If you edit an existing player it changes their gear randomly.

I got to play NHL 07 on my buddies 360 a couple times, yeah its good, but it still plays like an EA hockey game. I will wait till I pick up 2k7 to make a decision, but im still not impressed with the EA game.

Maybe its brand loyalty, but I've always preferred EA games to whatever else. I remember getting NHL and NFL games from 989 Studios and hated them compared to EA's games, so I just stick with EA now. Also when Twisted Metal switched from whoever made the first two (it might even have been EA) to 989 it was horrible. Man Twisted Metal 2 was a great game

I finally played Nashville and he said it correctly, but he still pronounces Tverdovsky as "Tev-er-dor-sky."

anyone know how to change your gear in Create a player.. i dont get the part were you change your face. and i cant find were to change your gear?

ps. its the 360 version

i dont know if it is the same,but on the regular x-box version the gear choice is in one of the categories after you pic their face and number and stuff. i believe all you so is push r to change menus

Just a suggestion but try playing just one position, like lock yourself as the center. I find you can play a much more positionally correct game with NHL 07 if you do that.

WHen your wingers break into the zone you can skate to some open ice and demand a pass so it lets you setup plays much better. Also, because I hate the defensive controls, I'd rather not play D in this game.

I can also switch the camera to Action mode if I play this way and it's more enjoyable IMHO.

I have both NHL07, and NHK 2K7 for the 360... I love them both, for different reasons. If a few buddies come over, and they aren't too 'hockey-saavy', we'll play 2K7... it's more fun, and straightforward.... anyone can play it, without complaining "Well you play hockey... you know what you're doing" (yes, I've heard it)... also, if I feel like winning a face off, I'll play 2K7.. haha

When my brother is over, we have some vicious battles over NHL07... 20 min period games, shootouts... whatever.

I still can't get over the look of NHL07.. it's ridiculous. I'm actually looking at an HD tv now. There goes my "stick budget"

I have both 2K7 and 07 for the 360 as well (I owned 2k7 first and then was seduced into buying the 07 game by the shootout demo). I find the camera angles and the overall flow of the game are much better in 2k7. The closeups are better in 07, the shootout is outstanding and makes the 2k7 shootout look terrible and the offensive controls with the skillstick are really good in 07. So far I find the 2k7 game more fun to play and so do my friends, but the 07 shootout is VERY fun and addictive as well. However, I've only played 07 a couple times (I've played the shootout demo dozens of times, but the actual game only a couple) so that isn't my final verdict. They both have their pros and cons - I wish 2k7 had the 07 controls and shootout as that would be the ultimate game.

Going thru the season and I'm realising what a pain it is to get a decent PP going. Other than that, it's been a champ except for some scoring glitches here and there. Last noticeable one I had was taking a wrister that hit the crossbar and went out of play, but they counted it anyway.

I've had a lot of weird goals, and a bunch of glitches with giving assists. Sometimes (usually after one touch passing) player A will score, they'll give the secondary assist to player B, and then the primary assist says 'unassisted'

on the plus side i've got the faceoffs down so i win about 70% of them

Yup, the ghost assists aren't that frequent but still a little annoying. That said I'll take the scoring goofs in a trade for all the more "realistic" goals that happen in the game now.

For Regular Xbox...how do you fake the shot...Shoot is on the Right trigger, and I don't see anything in the book about faking the shot...

no...I tried every combination of buttons and nothing worked...I can't imagine that they'd remove that feature.

I thought this was stupid.I was on the PK and i dumped it behind my own net and it went it i thought that was kinda dumb top corner even.Another is the puck goes over the boards way to much.I do a wraparound and the puck goes over the boards at center??? I feel like they rushed this game for the XBOX at least.

also, i was playing tonight and scored 5 goals in the 1st minute....its an easy game! i also shattered the glass w/a shot!
