Rod brind amour is crazy i saw a thing during the playoffs on tsn about him, in college his team had to lock him out of the gym to keep him out

I remember that. Did you see the size and how well toned his calves were?? Amazing!!

I've heard that Chelios rides a stationary bike in a sauna. Which is crazy if you've ever been in a sauna.

I doubt that 500 pounds is the highest in the league. I can squat 415 and I rarely work out and I'm only 180lbs.

Are you squating or leg pressing that weight? If you can squat 415lb, thats impressive.

Free weight squat. Leg press I do the 500 somewhat easily but never maxed that out.

It's all pretty good stats i must admit, but come on, if you were beeing paid 2 mil a years, and the only thing you were doing in your life is playing hockey, wouldn't you find the times to work-out?

Take off my school(40 hours per week) plus the 15 hours of works(need to pay the gas hen!) that 55 hours free. yea i think i could be in great shape too..

think thats 490 instead of 500

5x45 plates on each side and the bar?

500 LBS!!!!

I think it´s a question how far you move your butt down while squatting!!

I squat, squat, sqaut and I´d say my legs are strong but I´m only

able to squat 250 LBS for 6 times after the summer, but I go down very far.

If you think about that 500 lbs are amazing!!!

But back to my question, is there the possibility to have a look at

NHL off ice testing results. In former times NHL Center ice gave some impressions

about the start of trainingscamps. You could see NHLers there, performing

physical office tests, but I can´t find vids like that anymore

Does anyone know net-sources where you can watch nhlers performing tests or even performing off season workouts??

I´m looking for vids like http://www.accottawa.com/aboutUs/testimonials.htm

Hoping to get any stuff,

Greetings

times have changed in the nhl, players used to come to camp to get in shape for the season, then some players used to get a head start training before training camp just so they can compete to get a spot on the roster, now you come to camp in shape, some teams provide peasonal trainers and nutrition programs in the off season, trainers will know if you didnt stick to the schedule.it pays for these guys to stay in shape in the off season, the game is bigger ,faster ,players are an investment for teams.the pro hockey player is in amazing shape.

I remember about 10 years ago my boss went out to Cali to learn about a new metrabolic testing cart. The company was in south Cali and some of the Kings and Ducks would come in during the off season for metabolic tests. Seems liek they had clauses in their contracts about conditioning and anaerobic threshold #'s. If they improved their AT they would get a bonus.

I don't believe you or your technique is very poor. It's impossible if you don't train. + if that is true you would do much more at the leg press.

I saw his post before he edited it and he said something like 325, not 415. So that's why i think it's bullshit too

But there are a few kids at my HS that can squat 450 lbs at age 17. That kid is the strongest in the school but its wierd to think that a high school student is stronger then guys in the NHL.

It's also funny to think some NHLers are highschool aged.

And I said on the leg press I just did 500 because that was the max and I couldn't add more weight. Stop the hate.

You're talking to a guy that has to wear a hockey helmet all day long and has a cork on his fork at dinner. Yes, I'd think his school would have a leg press with a higher max because his people are known for their insane retard strength but it's not the case.
