New Gear lineup

Recommended Posts

Yes, there are some rumors floating around...time will tell.

Easton helmets (an enthusiastic maybe).. AND warrior skates (another maybe) in one year?

Looks like other companies need to up their game a little.. With the level that Warrior's advertising stands and the mass amount of hype that is usually tied in with anything Warrior puts out, I wouldn't be suprised if they took a swing at the new One90 line of gear for this/next season.

I know that Easton is probably scratching their heads a little at the sheer amount of sales Warrior has on their stick lineup alone. There are a lot of kids who are looking at dolomites like they used to look at synergies a few years back. I mean, they took a company who the "mainstream" hockey player may have never heard of and turned it into a huge success and a well known hockey brand. Not just that, but have made a quality product. I have heard from more that one person that the dolomite blade is the best that they have ever used.

Discuss.

I agree, it should be interesting to see if the other companies shell out the $$ to compete with branding. And YES people are now starting to become aware of the quality of Innovatives blades. I mean Warrior. However I just cant see ANOTHER skate on the market. I mean a dealer can only carry so many of each size in each brand not to mention the super $$$ models. I guess only time will tell.

Easton helmet I think has a very good chance, but I can't see a Warrior skate any time soon unless they buy out some other company(who would they buy out?)

On a side note, the Warrior hype around here has calmed down quite a bit. The sticks are kind of a been-there-tried-that thing. People, including myself, are beginning to come back to Easton and some NBH. Bags and apparel are still very popular, but the gloves never got as popular as some of the other ones we sell.

I still don't see many travel players in my area using Warrior sticks. Warrior did not offer our shop an account. Our travel players are in the USA Atlantic region. That said, players here pick up a Stealth or SL or ST and just walk up to the register with barely checking out the stick. They want Easton and love the preformance. I don't think Easton is too worried about market share in this area given Warrior's lack of availibility at retail. Warrior's exclusivity in this area hasn't made them more desirable, just harder to find. After the customer asks if we have Warrior and we explain why we don't(their decision not to open our pro shop in a four rink building), they say "Oh" and go pick up the Stealth and take it to the cash register. No one has turned around and walked out just to go find a Warrior stick elsewhere.

If they get into skates, that will prove to me they are not as smart as they think are. Its pretty easy to figure out why that is a bad decision.

Going off of my brother's teams and teams they've played it's mainly Easton or NBH. TPS and CCM/RBK are barely seen at all. At practise they'll look at my Dolomite like it's alien and have no more interest in it after they see what it is.

I don't see any market for Warrior skates right now. There is barely enough room for Easton or Mission skates. It would take a homerun product to even make a small dent.

Our Warrior sticks (& especially blades) are still selling well. But hey, it is California....We do have some brand loyalty with them since we have carried Innovative since the late 1990's.

Like Dark Star said, still far more Easton stick purchases, they just pick'em up and head to the register.

I can see the Easton fanboys buying the Helmets right away, but I think most would wait to see if it was a quality product.

I could see warrior perhaps trying to buy out Graf, I dont know the financial status of Graf but I think with the amount of marketing that Warrior could put into Graf that it would not be too bad of an idea because Graf although quality control kinda isnt up to par they make a great product and with some exposure could be highly marketable.

I have yet to see a warrior stick in real life. I was lookin to buy an AK 27 or dolomite shaft, but talked myself out of it because I dont reallllllly have the money and I dont realllllllly need it. However, simply because I've used Inno before, I was considering just ordering a warrior off the 'net without holding or seeing it in person.

I really don't think a skate for them would be good for them. Taking another shot at gettin their gloves out there I think would be their best bet.

I'm seeing alot more NBH sticks this season, playin DIII college..

I can't see Warrior getting into skates for the simple reason that its completely new territory for them. Growing up playing lacrosse, I always knew about Warrior. Making quality hockey sticks wasn't that difficult because they had years and years of experience making great lacrosse sticks. Same goes for gloves. They've never made a cleat, let alone a hockey skate. I would figure they'd come out with a helmet before a skate

Uh, Warrior had nothing to do with making their sticks other than buying Inno and slapping some fagtastic graphics on them.

well actually, they do have cleats they are just made by new balance and have the warrior logo slapped on them

same thing with the sticks

unless Warrior buys another major company that produces skates, i dont see them coming out with anything else besides gloves and sticks for now

I was just going to say that. I could definitely see Graf being the front-runner. Warrior skates with t'blades any one? No thanks.

I asked a few warrior dealers what things hey had heard or had been shown in the last little while and basically this is it. Helmet was comming but will be put on hold . Protective under wraps until last minuit. The only thing I gathered about the skate was a prototype with alot of new balance technologies.

The sticks will be offered in a wider selection.

Warrior seems to have faded a little on the pro scene unless its just the calm before the big splash.

The graf thing sounds interesting.

My bad, for some reason I thought they just took Inno blades and re-designed the shafts for them. I'll change that to that they knew a quality product when they saw it
