I am going to go with what JR Boucicaut said I think it’s a new Salming Evolution. Here is a picture of my Salming evolution for all of you who don’t know what it looks like. Could it be the exact same stick with a new color scheme? http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/5957/salminggv7.jpg

Um...point out where I said it was a Salming. In fact, I was pretty clear when I said it was NOT a Salming.

It's a new stick that hasn't hit the market yet. They added support at the main break point of one-pieces and were able to keep the weight down. A couple of other players in the NHL should be using it soon as well.

:) Hello, the stick is Evolution and it is a new product by a new company named COMPRO SPORTS INC. The company is owned by former 18 year NHLer Greg Adams and ex NHLer Mike Barrie and Henry Karusewicz. The stick was well researched prior to its introduction with many added features such as a "reinforced slash zone" and foam'gel" blade for that "wood feel". Reports to date show the stick to significantly increase the shot wrt to its speed and accuracy. You will begin to see more and more NHL players trying this stick shorly. Experience the EVOLUTION with its new X Grip and the feel of a well balanced stick.

The stick is being used in the NHL, NCAA. BCHL, AHL and many minor hockey leagues.

COMPRO SPORTS will also be introducing a gial stick and a new EVOLUTION II shortly.

You can email hkarusew@comprosports.com for more information.

Thanks whbd18 I'm guessing those flexes are Easton flexes.

You mean numbered according to Easton?

Also from what i understand a morjority of these patterns are the actual patterns of the names listed.

I am ordering some Whitneys in 2 weeks when they become available.

COMPRO sports? Very interesting! Lauching your buisness into the one-piece market is a pretty risky thing IMO and it's a good thing you guys already have some pros using it!

Are you going to rely on the stick's performance only or is the price going to be attractive compared to other high-end OPS?

How about a weight? materials? patterns?

is that the only model?

Evidently that isn't part of the press release.

okay went to the LHS to check these out again. Nice light and well balanced stick. Kinda reminded me of a bauer XXX. They only had 100flex and modano sakic clones. Price wasn't on the stick and I forgot ask.

I just went to my LHS and saw the evolution stick. It felt quite blade heavy to me, but fairly light. On the side it said weight: 500grams. I saw the 65 flex and it was priced at $119.99cdn, not bad for a one-piece here in Canada.
