Pro stock mission blades

Recommended Posts

So they did show up today like I thought they might, these are what I got:

I don't have time for pics now but will put some up when I have time.

01-002

01-004

02-053

-> all shanahan variants, lies are 6 or a little over...01-004 is really heavy

Ryder: like a Messier, maybe a hair less open

Hinote: a little longer than the Ryder, a little more curve/loft

Wickenheiser: ~5 lie...maybe a little Recchi-ish? I will have to dig out some I have for comparison

Rafalski (standard wood) **mislabeled Halpern Tapered**: I actually like this one the best, only its about a 5 lie, too low for me. Shanny on a shorter blade.

I'm getting especially interested in the Brunette, Poapst, Brewer, Robitaille and Ott: they all sound like fairly traditional mid curves, relatively shallow (except the Robitaille) and either neutral or closed.

Anyone get a look at these yet? None of the pictures in old threads are working.

I have a Brunette SL and it's a mild mid curve that's pretty open. I realize these blades could be completely different, but I thought I'd throw that out there just in case.

Even though their website says otherwise, they are out of 75 Flex Hex1 Taper Shafts :( :(

Fuck.

I ordered mine early Tuesday and just got a call tonight that they are out, trying to decide what to do, I was really looking forward to that

Stupid question for all:

Do the LH numbered patterns match the RH ones? For example, is 01-002 the same pattern in both LH and RH?

I'd like to thank the MSH pioneers for trying these blades without being able to see them. If anyone comes across a mid curve, slight-moderate depth, 6-6.5 lie, neutral-closed face, along the lines of a retail Datsyuk or '07 Fedorov, let me know. I am interested if you don't want it or just post it and I'll buy from HM.

edit:Right handed...

This is related to HM. First off, last night i wasn't in the right "thinking mode" to make a credit card transaction over the internet. I accidentally put the wrong e-mail address down , I've tried customer service this morning and so far have not gotten an answer. I know its kind of early (09:30 CT) and it has been a while since i have bought from them. I'm just curious as to how important the correct e-mail address is to the transaction. And also a little worried that some random person has my credit card digits.

Second notion- Someone has to do some James Bond shit and put a mind control device in one of their employees, so they will take pictures of the pro stocks for those people who wont gamble and just buy a couple blades.

How often does HM put up Mission Pro-stock blades? I am wondering because right now I don't need any blades, however they are a good price and don't want to miss out. Basically I don't have the $$$ right now to buy? Anyhone know? Thanks

The email address is so you have a confirmation of the order, and it might be linked to your account if you've ordered through them before. The order should still get to you though and I don't believe your credit card numbers are on the confirmation email.

They should take pictures of the blades, but I bet they make more money off of not posting pictures, leaving the consumer curious as they will buy a number of them to see what they are like.

The last time was summer of '06, I believe. Seeing history repeat itself with a surge of Hockey Monkey angst really makes me happy to be skipping the whole circus this time around.

does anybody know which RH pattern is a retail sakic clone?

Buy a retail blade, don't look for prostocks.

considering that these are cheaper than retail id like to see if there are any of these that are close to the sakic.

They dont put your CC digits in the email but pretty much everything else is in there

As much crap as they take (and more often than not, rightfully so) I have to feel for their employees. If they're anything like some of the questions/posts put up here I can't imagine what the calls are like. In my head I picture the montage from Clerks about people asking about movies "with that one guy who was in that other movie." Not everyone knows about patterns as much as the general member of this board and even fewer work in any store, let alone HM.

haha yeah I cant imagine that being a fun job, Im sure it gets pretty bad when neither side of the conversation has any clue what they are talking about

Just for the record I wasnt going to ask any questions, they left a message on my voicemail last night about my order and I had to call them back, but no dice so far

Lang (what a HUGE blade) long hosel standard, long blade, probably 6.25-6.5 lie, not much rocker, gloss clear finish, no graphics

Pro 266 standard, medium hosel, paddle blade, not much rocker, ~6 lie, unfinished

Deadmarsh tapered short hosel, pretty good rocker, more of a mid ~5.5 lie (hard to tell), unfinished

Lang

IMG_0527.jpg

266 I'll trade this for another Lang.

IMG_0525.jpg

UP FOR TRADE I'd like something close to the Lang, 6+ lie, slight heel with a bit of open.

Deadmarsh. Too deep/ not close enough to the heel for me. Tapered short hosel.
