Free NikeBauer Gear! (including XXXX skates)

Recommended Posts

Free to participants in the 2007 NCAA Frozen Four Skills Challenge. Here's a memo I came across when searching for something else:

NCAA Memo

I remember some One90s (skates and gloves) from this year's competition showing up on eBay soon after the event.

for me, helmet is like a gadget, it most have something special to it. and the gel pad in the 8000 make it the best for me hihi!

anyways, we can't say the 8000 is a BAD helmet.

I would say so, yes. To me, the 4000/0004/4500 is the most protective helmet out there (I tried the 5000 and 8000, but didn't take to either). The helmet really holds my head and surrounds it with uniform protection with no real pressure-points.

Of course, like just about everything else, this is a personal thing. It depends on the shape of your head and whether you would rather look cool or have your eggs scrambled.

i add to the vote on 4000/4500/0004 being the best. all the other helmets meet the same safety requirements, but 4000/4500/0004 fits the best. personally.

isnt a helmet all pp??

there really isnt a reason to argue about wich is best.

thats sweet that they are getting all this new gear

i mean i fi was gettin vapor40's or one 90'sfor free, i wouldnt complain about a helmet!!

but wont the new skates affect the players in the shooting competition?

same with goalies, wont the pads be stiff and not broken in?

I don't think that the players will be forced to wear the free stuff. There might be a small appeal by NBH saying that it would be appreciated if as much NBH gear as possible could be worn by the players. The players are likely to oblige since they're getting all the stuff for free.

i agree that they should wear it to show loyalty.

i mean a guy could wear his old skates in the skating competition, then change them for the shooting competition.

will they recieve the gear once they get there? or early, so they can try em out?

id give them them early enough so they can be experienced and be the best in the nike bauer gear

What are you guys smoking? I'm not going to change my gear for some skills challenge unless I really feel that it's better. I don't care if NBH gave me head to toe protective! The only way I'd wear it would wear it is if I did think it was better or NBH was paying me.

Speaking of the skills challenge, what ever became of that division 3 player who was in it last year for the men? Did he end up with a pro contract?

well good thing you arent in it.

some people will do anything to show off new gear regardless if it feels good or not.

and way to read my previous posts...i was wondering if they would use the skates before to get used to them, or if they have to wear them.

and no, were not smoking anything!

Mouthguards don't prevent concussions. Sure they reduce the risk, but still won't prevent one.

every guy in this challenge ihas exhausted his NCAA eligibility. Its only a skills comp, why would they care about not changing gear? Plus the majority of NCAA is NBH anyways

If he's taking blows to the helmet that are causing concussions then he may want to look at how he's playing the game.
