Quintin 16 Report post Posted December 7, 2006 Am I the only one who trips out after playing this game for a long period of time? I've never taken acid before, but this is what I imagine its like. You're not the only one. After I played the first game so many times, everytime I had my eyes closed, there were colors everywhere!! Drewhunz 3 Report post Posted December 7, 2006 I already know about 2/3 of the songs on the list though that would probably hurt me more than help.Actually, I think it helps especially on the more difficult songs. You know the basic song structure and syncopation, therefore you concentrate more on the fingering and less about following the rhythm. As a lefty, I like how you can switch it so the colors are on the opposite side of the screen, but I wish the damn whammy bar was either removable, or they offered a purely lefty guitar. Stampeder 2 Report post Posted December 8, 2006 I think it was only like 5 percent of the players were left handed so they weren't going to bother making a left handed guitar. Maybe a 3rd party will.

Maybe a 3rd party will.I know, but I still like to bitch about it. ;) Fortunately, I found a guitar store that ONLY carries left-handed guitars. Should get my Gretsch 6120 Brian Setzer signature model by the middle of January.

Had the only lefty PRS Dragon also.

Chadd 916 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 70's Traynor tube combo with EL84s. I sold a lot of my other gear including my Dual Rectifier head/cabinet, 77 marshall and rack gear. I need to get something that doesn't rip my face off when I turn it all the way up to "2". I'll charge up the camera and dig up the old guitar topic to post them. Drewhunz 3 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 Find an old Mesa/Boogie Heartbreaker. My first amp, and still the one I go back to. Still have a weak spot for the Soldano Astroverb, and Fender Vibroverb. Never should have traded the Vibroverb for a Matchless. To snotty of an amp.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 I've heard good things about the B52 all tube combo. I'm going to check one out at Guitar center tomorrow
All Torhs Team 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2007 I've been playing it alot more lately. Its different then other games. You dont have to have strategy and you cant buy the nicest assesories to help you win. I think its funner to play on the songs you actually like. I like the Heart Shaped Box by Nirvana and the RATM one. But I gota be honest on two things. When I play a song like War Pigs, my wrist is burning by the end. lolAnd I got a cheat so I didnt have to beat the songs to get all of them. I couldnt stand only playing the first couple. Try playing with real strings for a few hours. If you don't toughen them up gradually, you're bleeding all over the place.
All Torhs Team 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2007 Haha. This is exactly what my brother was telling me. As I complained how hard medium was, he was like yawning on expert and telling me its nothing compared to a real guitar.

Dougie8 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2007 I played this game for the first time EVER tonight. I thought it was just gonna be a mediocre(sp?) game but then after i quit i was heading back for more, i'm in the medium section and some of those songs a freakin hard. Theres only a few songs on the game that I like, others are too metal(ish) for my liking. Is there anyway to get songs other then the ones on the game? DamnLocust 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2007 what would be the point of a video game based on playing electric guitar in a rock band if the songs aren't metal(ish)?

DamnLocust 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2007 So your wish would be for a guitar playing game with no metal in it. to that I ask, what would be the point of a video game based on playing electric guitar in a rock band if the songs aren't metal(ish)? anything else would be far too easy and boring. Guitar Hero-Metal = Guitar Zero.
