Stealth s-15 skates?

Recommended Posts

It reminds me of the Mission supplefit skates and the One90s do a little too because they're skates with less negative space than the average skate. The Stealths seem like one of those skates too with little negative space, fitting much closer to one's foot.

Does it really matter if it fits and it's functional? They are nice looking skate though hey.

I agree 100%.

I don't think new skate will have the same wow factor the one90 did. Not saying these are ugly, they're decent looking, but even the new xxxx isn't anything amazing.

Yeah! I know this thread isn't about the XXXX, but it's just like the generic $60 Nike "running shoe" you can find at JCPenny. Very blasé.

If you don't have a wide foot there will be a lot of negative space in Easton skates. Only Kors and One90s use a zero negative space fitting concept.

Huh, well in that case, it is like the other Easton skates bulging a bit in the heel like Gongshow said. Are the Mission SuppleFit or AG skates not based on reducing negative space too though? They have so much less padding and fit closer to the foot than the usual skate, an XP for example.

Supplefit has more to do with placing the stiffness in the right places and not everywhere. The reduction in padding comes from being more anatomically correct as padding is just filler. I wouldn't say S or AG skates fit the ZNS concept but they are a departure from traditional skate design.

that just means that mission skates, the XP for example, fit your foot better than most others.

Basically, "zero negatice space" is a term coined by NBH. they've probably even got a copyright on it. It's just their way of saying that the boot fully molds to your foot, as opposed to other skates that don't bend and conform as much in the baking and breaking in process.

I have a pair of prostocks Synergys here in the store that have (as a mod), the new foam package being used in the Stealth. As explained to me by the pro rep it's designed to lock the ankle in place. Nice.

Massive heel spurs right there...they make those guys a custom composite mold. Nick Lidstrom has it on his SyNergys as well.

thatr looks really weird. does it feel more comfterble to them? like does their ankle stick out further, so that makes it more comfy of a skate?

Their spurs fit right in there. I had sharpened Lidstrom's skates before training camp and they were huge.

Argh and you didnt take JRish G14 pics? ;)
