CCM v120c broke

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I broke my CCM Vector v120c a couple days ago. I just realized that it's been almost a month so I need to call(I'm going to call tomorrow after I get of work) and talk to CCM about a warranty replacement as soon as possible. I know they don't make this stick anymore, I have no idea what's going to happen. So your guess is as good, probably better than mine. Soo... What stick do you think I'm going to get in return?

I'll let you guys/gals know when I get it, not if I find out tomorrow so there's some time to see some results.

Actually, since I'm still online I might as well ad what I'm thinking. There's a part of me that is hoping that I can talk myself into getting a RBK sickick or maybe even a 9k, because they are the same company and the v120 was a high end stick... but there's a lot of my thinking that they'd want to give me something like a 10.0 or a 8.0 maybe a Catapult like hergs said(assuming that's what he meant).

I'm not looking to rip them off, because I like CCM and their products have been good to me. But I figure I might as well see what I can get, just to try it out. I've never had a current top of the line stick, or any equipment for that matter, so that possibility kinda gets me excited... But then again, I'd completely understand if they didn't want to give me something nearly as pricey.

So as you can tell I have no clue what I'm going to get, so I'm going to aim low. My guess a RBK 4k. haha

I'm going to guess a 6 or an 8.0. If you get the original 10.0 or anything more, that'll be a great deal.

the real question is what curve will they give you because i beleive you were using a bonk curve and it has been discontinued

i sent in my 120c when it broke, i bought it at sportcheck and they sent me a V10.0, so my guess is that you will get that as a replacement, but it all depends.

they will proabably send him a lemieux since its the closest to a bonk if im not wrong cuz i remeber the bonk being like a sakic, not the same curve but the same principal, and i sent in a Stuart and got a recchi so it all depends.

Vector 8.0?

Edit: wait what? RBK uses CCM gear and slaps their logo on it?

They are the same company.

One of my friend returned a V110 and they gave him a V8.0, so my guess is you're gonna get a V10.0. I highly doubt they will give you a 9k, but maybe you could get lucky a get the new Catapult.

so it seems as though you guys are thinking lowest a 6.0 and the majority think a 8.0-10.0

I've heard about a few people getting pro stock sticks for discontinued sticks so that's why I am/was flirting(obviously I'm not expecting an upgrade like this) with the idea of a 9k, catapult or sickick.

I haven't heard back from CCM after sending them an email to the address given on the warranty part of the stick. I'm hoping that they get back to me soon as I only have about a week before the 30 days is up.

Another thing I was hoping is that I can find a similar curve as the bonk or a toe curve with something with a high lie. Which is another reason why I'm hoping that I can get a pro stock stick.

Just wondering, CCM is taking forever to respond to my email as long as they have the needed information (model, flex, curve, where it broke, serial number on stick) and of course my personal info I'm in the clear, right? Its been 28 days since I bought the stick and obviously haven't shipped it because I haven't got the authorization number and a return address.

I'm just wondering whether the return policy is whether the stick breaks in 30 days or that it breaks and is returned or shipped in 30 days.

I believe it's based on when you first contact them. did you save the original email?

might not be a bad idea to shoot them another email, just in case.

I hope so, I do still have the emails saved. I'm just getting kind of antsy because I've never had to do a warranty replacement.

Not to mention being apprehesive on what I'm going to get, because I really like this stick. Such great balance.

not to hijack your thread, but I have a similar problem...sorta.

I bought a Easton stealth this past week (the old black silver one)

if it breaks what do u think i'll get.

The stick was on sale for 149.99 fyi

I bought an M-1 just before X-mas and the furst time I used it, it cracked all around the fuse point and the blade actually came out(not all the way out, but like an inch).

I thought about just glueing it back in, but, the guy at my LHS said it could void the warranty. At first I was fine with that, because I figured at worst I would have a nice tapered shaft.

Then I found a prostock Adrenaline shaft for cheap, so I sent the broken M-1 back to Mission.

I've called them a few times, but I guess they are doing inventory. i would like to know what they are sending me. My guess is a Hex-1, but, that doesn't come in the McCauley pattern.
