Personally....I do not like the steel on the perforated ProFormance runners...seems a little on the brittle side. On both pairs of my Vector 10SEs, I would have to get them sharpened after every two wears...not because they were dull, but because they had really bad nicks in them that were impossible to hone out. I switched to the regular ProFormance steel, and I no longer have this issue. I can go about 5-6 wears before sharpening...sometimes more. As far as the LS2, I found them to be about the same as the regular ProFormance. The steel was pretty durable.

LS2 Power all the way IMO. Especially since you are a competitive player that has been skating on LS2's for a while. I've skated on LS2 for 2 years and just recently bought One90's with the LS2 Power. The added length is nice. The holder is also stiffer and has better feel and precision.

Thats very impressive!! Try bladeguards, they really work.

Both steels you mention have their pros and cons. The LS2 steel holds an edge a bit longer but is very brittle and breaks much easier than the CCMs. The CCMs are a bit softer so don't hold an edge as long, nick easier, but you'll likely not break one. So what's more important to you, peace of mind that you'll finish your game, or a few less sharpenings a year? If you are really concered about the best steel, the Mission Pitch is it. The holder is pretty darn good too.

i compared the difference between the blades of the LS2 and the LS2 Power and theres like a 0.3-4cm max diffrence between the two, and then compared the holder and about the same lenght difference, 0.3-4 cm.

In 2 years with the ls2, i never broke a steel or a holder, so really, durability isn't an issue for me.

Pitch wise, the e-pro is good, i had a +1 profile put on my ls2 and they are as good as the e-pro.

So really i'm more interesting in the quality of the steel and holder than anything else.

thanks jim!

LS2 solid is stronger and will last more sharpenings. (The perfs will get very weak when you get closer to the holes)

LS2 Perf. is "lighter" but nothing noticeable.

Performance-wise (edge retention, etc.) they're pretty much equal, unless you'll notice the extra 12 grams on your skates with the solids.

Perfs are known for breakage issues. I've seen them break on the first skate on them, on brand new skates.

That answers my question... perfectly. Thank you.

I use one90s with the stock LS2 power and coming from the Lightspeed holder (Vapor XX) it didn't take me too long to adjust to the longer length. The steel on them holds an edge alot better than the LS2 steel I addded on my XXs. You should consider it, I was also concerned about the extra length but it really worked out well for me!

Not having sharpened a TUUK runner before, I can't make a comparison, but I've been impressed with the edge on the E-Pro runners. I'm playing recreationally and probably don't push my edges as hard as others, but I'm geting about 20 hours between sharpenings.
