Kovy_Ribs_Fedo 3 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 Sick hands!!!Because he's a very average skater. Put those hands on Marian Gaborik and you have a hockey player. ;) He'll be good in the NHL though. And he's only managed 8 goals so far this season in the AHL. RadioGaGa 162 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 Hamilton and Wilkes/Barre went to Shootout back in December.,.,.I was SOOO excited that Schremp might do something crazy!!!!He went in, normal shot..nothing fancy...MISSI felt robbed *L*
Datsyukiandeek 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 I can't stand the guy personally and its not a jealousy thing. Hes obviously talented but im still amazed he has fans. Back about three years ago he actually wanted Team USA to pay him to be part of the World Junior's team. Hes a joke and at best will be a career minor leaguer. Patrick67 1 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 That's the best set of hands I can think of, most guys can't even get the puck up on their stick and he's doing twirls.
Kovy_Ribs_Fedo 3 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 Serioulsy you are wrong Pat. Those moves are not game-realistic. Kovalev, Havlat, Jagr, Datsyuk etc... has much better hands then Schremp. And when I'm talking of hands I know what I'm talking about. That's the best set of hands I can think of, most guys can't even get the puck up on their stick and he's doing twirls. IMO he'd have a huge target on his chest if he did that during a game.
Patrick67 1 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 All I am saying is that even Kovalev can't make those moves with a hockey stick... Sure in-game they are better than him (no doubt), but he can do stuff they can't even come close to.
Kovy_Ribs_Fedo 3 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 I played with Stephane Lebeau(ex NHLer) last summer and he can do those lacrosse moves as easily as Rob Schremp. Those moves are not that hard once you get the twist, it just takes pratices. But instead of praticing those moves, I'd suggest to pratice realistic moves that you can easily pull in a game. All I am saying is that even Kovalev can't make those moves with a hockey stick... I can't comment on why he isn't in the NHL, but Kovy is right, his hands are good, but the pros make the better game decisions.
cause4alarm 7 Report post Posted February 13, 2007 I imagine it's pretty damn hard to stop a shot when it's coming in from 5 feet over your shoulder. Does that count as a highstick?

Jason 65 Report post Posted February 16, 2007 Kristian Huselius has some pretty nice hands too. I never noticed it until one of his teammates compared him to Kovalev. The guys that Kovy Ribs mentioned all have insane hands. Game useable hands (in the NHL). I personally love watching Schremp do his thing, but I tend to think he spends way too much time practicing that crap when he should be working on his skating. I have no problem right now saying that I am a better skater than Robby Schremp and I'm not that great.
