Anson Carter's stick

Lidstrom and Drury. And, if you could twist it into some kind of underground marketing campaign, make the no graphics version available.

I'd like to do that, but the problem is we don't have a household name like the big guys. We need as much exposure as we can get. It is helpful to have the Christian name on our sticks for branding purposes.

Another option we have been toying with is making an "old school" looking Northland one-piece composite.

It would be great for a value price OPS in a lot of the traditional hockey markets.

I heard somewhere that christian doesn't have the rights to the Northland name in the states, and that's why they aren't selling the northland woodies outside of canada. I'd assume that would also block a northland ops. any truth to this?

Contrary to the previous post, the Northland sticks ARE available in the United States. Feel free to log onto www.hockeystick.com and select the wood stick section to order one, regardless of where you reside.

We are considering it for next year. It would be called the Torch FT (feather touch). We would only offer it in two patterns. Considering our pattern offerings (#1-Forsberg, #3-Drury, #4-Recchi, #5-Iginla, #7-Lidstrom), which patterns would people most like to see if we could only pick two?

As much as I am a fan of the Iginla pattern from Easton, I think you'd have the most success with the #1 and #3. But feel free to toss in one lefty Iginla 100 flex, I won't tell.

I'd say Drury and Modano. I've seen lots of Drury's quickly get scooped up in the LHS. Grip is a must and flexes ranging from 85-110. I wouldn't buy a stick at retail anymore unless it's an 85 drury grip. That limits my options.

Iginla and Lidstrom would probably be the most popular curves. My choice: Drury and Iginla. I'll take one free sample of each please. :D

I love Christian sticks...have ever since I was a kid.

And when I started playing again after being off for several years I went right back to them with a Torch shaft at 1st and now their OPS.

For some reason I found a few shops in town selling the one piece Torch sticks for only $85...is that the right price now?

I think I paid more for that for my Lite shaft about 6 months ago!

Anyways, I love the Pattern 5....

Was that $85 for a shaft for a one piece?

The torch's are real popular in D-3 hockey, they arent a bad twig, they just lack solid durability but they have a 60-day warranty which is a major positive.

Lack durability? Some of the sticks I sold two years ago are still in use.

You have to bring that back. I would love to see the black, white and grey foil with the red dot again.

While you're at it, bring back the "Say No To Drugs" on the sticks. Because if there was one thing that kept me from doing drugs, it was those hockey sticks :P

Anything for you, JR.

Don't accuse Nancy Reagan of not doing anything as the First Lady!

I have an older Christian woody down in my basement that has that on it. I think it's cool.

worst durability. we had the christian deal last year, i broke 3 one pieces in one prac (torch). The shafts would crack easily too. The wood blades, besides being as think as a brick, they are pretty durable. Everyteam i saw in d3 last year with their sticks doesnt have them anymore
