Caps will unveil new red white and blue uni's

Recently, I confirmed that the Caps will be returning to their former red, white and blue color scheme next season. Now, we know when we're going to see the new duds. The team plans to unveil the new uniform during its draft party at KCI on June 22, the first day of the NHL Entry Draft.

And before you ask, no, I haven't been able to get my hands on the design. But I'm working on it.

I think they are going back to the old colours, but not the same jersey.

So long as they don't go for those stupid tommy hilfiger ones from a while back.

I think they are going for a modernization of it.

Now, if they could just get nashville moved to the southeast division, and move the caps up to the atlantic so tehy would be up against the rags flyers and pens more, I would be much much happier

Stripes will be mostly vertical and not horizontal though, right? I thought that was one of the new style foundations.

Without the Pens moving it's unlikely that Washington will shift to the atlantic. If the Preds move to Houston or KC, that may change though. I would hate to see them leave Nashville as there is a great experience to be had around the arena.

The switch back is good news. The current uniforms are god awful. I always liked the Red White and Blue old style, and it was appropriate for their location. Definitely curious to see what design tweaks they make. I'm actually kind of curious to see how all the new uniforms come out looking.

Kolzig on local radio here at the minute (said he wasn't going back to Washington state until the kids are done in school).

Said he has seen the new jersey, and likes it, and also confirmed the one doing the rounds on the net (I posted here about the thread on hfboards http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index...=29325&hl=) is NOT the new uni design

Yeah it was just a jersey I found on the same board as the Capitals one. It is very nice and the logo is very nice also (you can see the sticks on top of the letter V like in the old logo and curent alternate jersey) but none have been confirmed.

the caps one thats floating around has been debunked by Olie Kolzig himself last week on DC101.

He said the new ones are a nice blend of old and new, the red is darker than the old reds they used to have

Yeah but out of those 2 jerseys we saw on the board, none were confirmed. Yes the Caps will get new ones but not that particular one, that's what I ment.
