How's this for flash?

Why is he wearing 11? I know Kovalchuk has 71, but doesn't he usually wear 18 for Russia?

Maybe he thinks Staal should get the Calder.

I guess he thinks Stastny should get it, cause he is wearing the #11 for the US-Boys.

Oh, he wore #11, USA got kicked out :P

His playoff problem was playing with a team that couldn't score if you gave them $1000 and pointed them towards a brothel.

The goal isn't even the best part about that video. He taunts the whole Czech bench after he scores.. I love it

Actually, the video would have been better had he NOT pulled that shit. Sure, have a celly after the goal, have some fun. But acting like that has NO PLACE in the game.

I agree, give him a break... he'll mature. I feel the same way with Crosby last year when everyone was giving him a hard time for celebrating and doing "the michigan" in a game and "whining" about bad calls. He's just a kid, if I was in the NHL at his age I'd probably come off the same way. Give him a couple years and you'll not only see him mature but you'll see him shaking his head at the things they have him doing on tape.

Hopefully he ends up like Ovechkin did. I remember he was the same way in the WJC's. I hated him for that reason, but fortunately he has matured and seems like a very respectful guy.

I've always seen Crosby as a respectful guy but just look at some of the younger post-ers on here... some of them have a bit of a chip on their shoulders, it's something most of us lose when we get older. We realize we don't have anything to prove.

Crosby is only respectful in interviews. Listen to him on the ice and you'll see.

And you wonder why the NHL can't compete with the other big three sports? The players are bland, interviews are usually cookie cutter "We played well, one bounce and we get the win." Everyone bashes JR, Avery and Hull but atleast they bring attention to the league.

Malkin taunting, fist pumping etc.. and AO jumping into the glass or flipping out after a goal will only bring more fans and exposure to the league.

Who would want that?

I have no problem with AO jumping into the glass after he scores, or Max Afinigonov (Sp?) diving into the pool after a goal. Thats "having fun" like I said before. The "in your face" garbage can be left to basketball and football.

I love the "in your face" garbage sometimes. Like when Kovalchuk(sp?) pointed at Crosby after a PP goal that he scored. It adds a bit of a rivalry into the game, and it gets fun. That's the the game needs.

At least in hockey after a player is at the wrong end of a "in your face" showmanship he can take a number and line the guy up for the next shift, in basketball what is he going to do a hard foul?

Makes for more exciting hockey, if you are going to trash talk or taunt, get ready to have your bell rung next shift or game.

Dayamn.

I'm more amazed at his strong skating which allowed him to score that goal. North America needs to produce more skaters like this.
