JR Boucicaut 3809 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Looks like I was right about Zetterberg - those aren't retail 1100s. They're dressed-up Z-Airs.
icedevil82 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 It seems a little stupid for Easton to have the front page of their website feature a photo of Zetterberg wearing skates they don't even make anymore. They could at least use PhotoShop or maybe even a camera shoot with him wearing their current model.

I dont get why the tendon guard would be the Synergy tendon guard or at least say Synergy on them.
bobovski 1 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 I was going to say something like "Oh, but Easton is really highlighting their money-maker in that Zetterberg shot... the stick". But, then I realized that the stick is somewhat obscured and the real product the photo focuses on is his skates. The ones they don't make anymore. I liked the Airs...hehe are they gonna start selling them again? ;)
duch 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Don't like the new gloves. Seem a little chinsy this year. Tried on the S-9's and I'm not at all over impressed with them. Bought a pair of Vapor XX's instead. Much nicer gloves and incredibly comfortable.

Or they just went ahead because Zetterberg probably is their most highly visible players. Either way, it is obvious that he is in an Easton skate.
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 I think the gloves(S-11) look good in white, but with some of the other colors the lines just come off like they are random and out of place.
TCsnipes9 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2007 I think the gloves(S-11) look good in white, but with some of the other colors the lines just come off like they are random and out of place.I immiadiately went towards that one at the show. Vey nice looking. The 11s have NO break in the thumb. At all. Other than that, I thought the glove was pretty comfy.
duch 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Their not bad but still sporting the shorter finger feel. A bit longer than last years models but still not as comfy or long as RBK or Nike/Bauer gloves. I would buy them in a 15 inch model even though I wear 14 in the other two brands. Still finding Nike/ Bauer gloves the most comfortable and RBK the most protective in the top of the line models. Gummer12 134 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 One Piece thumbs? Wonder how many Hyperextended thumbs are gonna come out of that glove.
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 the thumbs don't move at all. The thumb is able to move to the inside because of the palm but the tumb piece is hard as a rock and won't move.

duch 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2007 I don't find the solid thumb piece is a not big issue with me. Although I do find the flexible thumb on my Vapor XX's is a nice touch. ( no pun intended )
