NBH Website Is Updated.

Could we line up all the "flash website designers" of the world and just beat them to death once and for all? These people are the scourge of the internet (one step above spammers).

click and wait... click and wait... All the dazzle with none of the info. Well done. <_<

Great rant from someone who obviously has no idea about the design process. Essentially the NBH webiste is a marketting tool. Its main base is to impress and dazzle the hockey public and include the product. As far as Flash Designers go you would not be claiming them to be the scourge if you understood how long it takes to A:Learn the program and B: conceive something using it based on a difficult breif set by a client. These guys are definate artists who actually make a very bloody decent living off a skill that takes years to learn how to work with properly.

If you don't beleive me then check out some of these examples...

Cool Home Pages Flash directory

PS:If its info you want anyways THIS is the site for it. The people who have roadtested the gear. Not the NBH's marketting team.

Awesome site with alot of info. Really cool update. Couldn't see the fitness section though? Has that been dropped entirely? Only had a brief look so i might have just missed it.

That doesn't mean that the over-use of flash is good. It just happens to be in fashion now.

The fitness section has its own site. It is niketraining.ca.

Did they stop making those traditional style 4-roll gloves? Why are they not on the site if they still make them?

They still do but as for why they are not on the site, I was wondering the same thing. The shafts and blades are also missing.

Where did you guys see the shot of the new helmet? Just curious.

bump that for me too

In the 'St. Jerome' section, go to 'Reasearch & Design', select the film titled 'Ken Corvo on R&D'. Watch the first 30 seconds and you can see Guillaume Latendresse (I think it's him) tryiing on a helmet. The helmet is shiny black and the shot is very quick so you can't really see it. But it is shaped like no current NBH helmet. Good luck. This message will self destruct now...

it does looks like it comes down really far in the back, ala carbster. I would guess that the shell is going to change because it's soo round and that's not the styling cue that NBH or anyone for that matter has been looking for in a long time.

Only because its what the high end clients demand, I mean as a designer what are you supposed to do? Create the over the top flash NBH website or go hungry for a few months. I know what I'd be doing.

PS: The navigation system on the NBH site is a little frustrating, theres no real application of the "back" feature particularly in the "behind the scenes" section. But nice pre loaders and an overall fairly accessable site.
